2025-01-06 17:11:49 +0000 UTCIf queen Otihime not been confined by the fish man island bubble would she have kept growing like the island eater? So the queens desire to the leave the bottom of the sea would be the natural desire of goldfish to enter a larger body of water to keep growing?

2025-01-04 19:34:41 +0000 UTCThis 👆🏼 This is just classic Fishmen politics at play. Jimbei’s entire thought process revolves around his unwavering trust in Luffy to handle things. Jimbei trusted the King’s sons to protect Luffy, not just because of their duty, but because he believed they needed to discover for themselves why Jimbei places such faith in Luffy. They needed to see firsthand what makes Luffy the extraordinary human we all know him to be. By stepping back, Jimbei allowed events to unfold naturally, knowing that if anything truly went wrong, he would intervene. But as it stands, Luffy is alive, breathing, and keeping his promise to protect Shirahoshi, because Luffy never breaks his word. Also, having a human like Luffy liberate the Fishmen carries a deeper significance as it only reinforces Queen Otohime’s belief that not all humans are the same, and that there are good ones out there. With this, the fishmen can understand humans better and any lingering racial tensions slowly starts to heal, and the fishmen will then learn not to judge all humans by rumours and prejudice, but by their actions.

2025-01-04 06:28:32 +0000 UTCI totally agree with JustRojo! Jimbei cannot be involved in this fight more than Luffy, as that was his plan all along to bring the fishmen and the humans together. And yes, this fights is dragging to start but don't forget that Luffy is fighting underwater, which is his kryptonite so he needs to come up with something to get a better chance of winning against Hordy. But, man, what a way to end the week! We want closure and instead we are left hanging...Jason, I feel your frustration 😭

2025-01-03 21:57:20 +0000 UTCI believe Jimbei knows he could easily take down Hody if he wanted to, but based on their original plan, he needs Luffy and his crew to handle him, especially Hody. Letting Luffy defeat Hody would help the people of Fishman Island trust humans, or at least the Straw Hat crew, which is a significant step toward improving the relationship between humans and fishmen. This is also typical in shonen anime, where supporting characters can assist, but the final blow is always reserved for the main protagonist. It’s a recurring theme in series like Bleach, Naruto, and many others, where the main character shoulders the responsibility of taking down the arc’s main antagonist. It’s no different here, with Mugiwara Luffy leading the charge!✌🏼✌🏼🏃♂️
