Jimbei and Sanji are actually teaming on Wadatsumi (The Giant Baby). Like Jason I actually wanted Jimbei to do a little more to Hordy, since its his arc, but I understand why he's stepping back and letting Luffy shine.

Like for me some of the early arcs like Syrup Village, and Buggy's arc are some of the worst, just because their early on and don't have much substance compared to these later arcs. Like were would you put Fishman Island compared to Arlong Park, cause for me this is better then Arlong Park, just because it took the themes of Arlong Park and not only expanded upon them but also flipped them on their head.

2025-01-08 07:47:45 +0000 UTCI’m gonna be honest this arc and the next arc are my least favorite arcs in all of one piece. Of course they’re not bad but they just weren’t my cup of tea. I do think they are important and perfectly placed as far as the story goes. Story telling and the characters and world building is amazing as always. It was just blah to me. I do have a lot more opinions and discussions on the next arc so I will be commenting what I have to say when we get there. The next arc is only 4 episodes shorter than this one. 8 episodes shorter really if you don’t count the filler’s in the beginning of the next arc. To end off on a positive note this arc and the next arc lead up to my FAVORITE one piece arc and I think that arc will also be one of your top favorite arcs in all of one piece. I already call it!!! ❤️❤️

Chopper is no longer afraid of being called a monster, Ussop is no longer burdened by his own weakness, and Brook gets to reaffirm his love and value of life. Each member of the fishman pirates operates in a way that would have targeted the crew's weakness if they did not grow during this time apart. I like the next arc, but these are the kind of problems you have 8 main characters. And let's be honest almost every character in One Piece could be a main character in their own right. If Oda didn't each of his amazing characters time to shine it would feel empty. So, if the trade off is that the episodes are a little slower so we can learn to love almost every character in this world then I am more than happy to watch more One Piece. I either love the characters or love to hate them. There are not many characters in One Piece that I don't have powerful feelings for. The slow paced moments make me love the characters during the fast paced moments even more.

This will pave the way to a new way of life for merfolk and fishmen, most importantly, it can bring Fishmen Island people closer to Otohime's dream of a life under the sun. Btw how cool was Red-Hawk?!? 🤯

2025-01-07 20:26:44 +0000 UTCI think the main topic of this arc is the relationship between hatred and the passing of those feelings to the next generation. I have had the bad luck of being discriminated against in the past and that created resentment, but I was also fortunate to meet great people from many different places that tore down my negative views of their culture or beliefs and I was able to make friends with more people and live a happier life thanks to that. How often do we meet people that hate a specific race, culture, religion, or group of people and they can't even explain why they hate them? When we travel, when we meet people and just leave the fear and anger behind we can get to know more about others and in consecuence about ourselves. "Look with your own eyes", what a great lesson to learn for younger people, don't you think?
