Hello !
After the end of the last season, I was such in a good mood to begin this new one, I felt so proud of my airbenders and Jinora, and I imagined so many emotional reunions. The writers totally ruined my mood : so the entire season is gonna be about restoring peace in the Earth Kingdom and Ba Sing Se ? I want that since ATLA, so I'm glad, but to see new bad things happening here during an entire season ? No.
And right now, the only options are a future dictator who is conquering states by offering them protection by taking advantage of the fact that they are desperate and hungry, OR a future stupid King who doesn't know anything about his nation or the preoccupations of his people, and doesn't care about it ? We already had them both, and it was bad. I'm desperate. Just count how many times I rolled my eyes.

Iβve never seen you lose hope so fast. Donβt you know itβs my job to be the pessimist around these parts π? But Iβm gonna guess and say your spirits were lifted after this episode, right π? At least for a little bit A rock and a hard place might be the equivalent phrase. Iβve also heard the devil and the deep blue sea, but I think thatβs outdated.
