Happy Screenshot Saturday. Continuing our series as the devs work tirelessly behind the scenes on the Sanctuary demo.

In today's selection we witness a squadron of Guard Fast Attack Units lay waste to an EDA resource base. Shield domes are no sufficient protection without point defence to support them.

In the fifth screen you can see heavy support from T3 tanks after the Fast Attacks take down the shield generator at close range.

Community Question: What’s your biggest frustration with modern RTS games?

* Peer to peer connections not server based. I don't like lag. I think the best I have seen is Planetary Annihilation because it has a server based networking model. * Not being able to rewind replays. Again the best I have seen is Planetary Annhilation which allows full control for replays forwards and backwards. * Spherical planet play in Planetary Annihilation is so stupid. It is a pain in the neck. I agree with what Chris said: "Chris Taylor: Yeah. When I saw that, I kind of saw the old Chris, you know? I’ve been a firm believer that multiple battlefields is not a good idea. You look at chess and you try to go to 3D chess, it just blows your mind. The brain is powerful, but the brain has limits. Only savant genius type of people can play on multiple boards at once."

One of the biggest frustrations for me is when the game limits my ability to choose how I want to play. I still sometimes go back and play Warcraft III because the creative freedom is virtually endless.

Biggest frustrations with any rts: - a unit limit that prevents me spamming more units even though I'm swimming in resources. - modern weapons with less range than I can throw rocks turning every unit battle into a clumpy mess. - not being able to zoom out. - command and control features that haven't evolved since the late 90's. - bad pathfinding, units getting stuck on terrain. - dumb as rocks AI that doesn't respond to threats or put up a fight, AI that doesn't fortify even though it has the resources. - a tank that can fire 120mm HE shells but is still unable to kill a soldier because muh gamebalance. - superweapons without a countermeasure.
