2024-09-27 18:11:48 +0000 UTCAs you have seen I also really care about the music and how it’s presented and based on the show it also makes it a factor in the scoring. Glad we see things similarly ♥️🤌🏻

2024-05-10 19:37:17 +0000 UTCHaha for real! I am from Turkey so I am right smack in the middle of growing up with both Western and Middle Eastern influences on music - they go hand in hand for me. It's probably similar! Aside from that, I also give more priority to the music in these performances - it has to be the main driver of the performance so when there is some discrepancy, it grates more. It's also just probably personal taste - I really like it when songs start from a low place and slowly escalate to an explosion. It's why anti-drops are very difficult to enjoy for me (but definitely possible!).

2024-05-10 19:13:32 +0000 UTCTHis is why we can be friends Eafiu haha... So glad you also share the same sentiments as I! If anything, I may assume that we both come from a more "Westernized" structure of music and cultural upbringing but I don't want to assume you come from a western country (unless you are then fair game haha) I find it so fascinating how some arrangements can speak to someone's heart but make someone else want to cover their ears with a pillow haha

2024-05-10 18:56:55 +0000 UTCFor the performance of ON, you really took it right out of my brain - I couldn't find any point of dissatisfaction with how they executed the performance as I was watching it but the instrumental was just throwing me the way off. I was wishing for more bass in it and the lack of it (balance-wise) just made the song itself feel way too?? IDK how to describe my feeling of it as it's completely subjective, the closest I can say is that it makes me feel like the song is just gonna blow away in the wind like a balloon. There's nothing grounding it. I was wondering if it's just because ON is one of my favourite songs of all time, period, and whether that caused me to be way too critical of Any Changes to it, but hearing someone else say the exact same thing makes me feel less weird. 😂 ETA: Your opinion on the Kill This Love re-arrangement is again exactly what I was thinking so I think we have very similar expectations from the audial experience.

2024-03-09 06:27:14 +0000 UTCto comment on the kill this love performance: i agree it wasnt a perfect fit to them and i always wonder what it wouldve been like if hui got his way 😅 youll see it in the actual show but it got suggested by onf since hui rearranged it before on a different show, and it ultimately won by majority vote. he was visibly struggling trying to rearrange it AGAIN in a completely different style while also doing the arrangements for ptg's performance, but i mean good on him for pushing through and getting it done LMAO
