I truly feel that Mnet really made it a point in this season to ruin the self esteem of every group in one way or another, regardless of intention. Personally I don’t think they should have gotten ZERO votes amongst their peers especially on the round when you are covering a fellow peer’s work…. That must have felt the biggest slap in the face. I loved the route they took with this song and I personally prefer their version over the original 😂🔥 I am so happy they were able to start finding joy again with their performances and their final performance was probably one of my favorites in their entirety of the kingdom franchise!

As you had mentioned, we expect at least the original artist will vote for them but unfortunately that's not the case. In our opinion, this was their best stage in kingdom just too bad it's not in ranking term. Starting this stage, you can see in the show they started to have doubts in their concept and performance. You may have seen they mentioned they had a moment of slump during their kingdom series. We fans believe that this stage in particular was one of the starting point of their slump then leading to multiple members got injured here and there. We also believed that during Monster stage was where they started to enjoy the performance instead of solely focusing on ranking anymore, which why Sangyeon's crying at the end of the stage just pure wholesome for the fans!
