I can totally hear Don't Call Me and it makes me feel comforted knowing that the approach was definitely coming across more on the appropriate side! I figured that because SM should know better in this market haha, but you can't be too cautious or aware! I truly appreciate you being along the ride with me Jey! I know my analysis are LONG and so the fact you dive through them is a huge feat haha!

I recommend NCT 127 Gimme Gimme. I think it's my fav choreo from them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpG41-lpeLc
Taeyong(leader) has a lot of dance videos those would be cool to check out. He was the judge on SWF.

It's so interesting to watch the 127 effect lol. This is also one of my favorite choreographies by them. I've been into to K-Pop since around 2007-2008 (I'm born in 95) and I've seen the different "generations" of Reactors over the years and I've personally never seen another group outside of NCT (maybe aespa at times) draw out such mixed reactions as 127 tends to and Sticker is one of the Peaks of that imo. Someone has already mentioned "Jack Move" so I won't mention it other than to say that it is the earliest use of that flute sample that I personally know of and it was produced (at least in part) by Dem Jointz (also contributed to "Don't Call Me" by SHINee) who is also a producer on "Sticker", so I believe that they've used the sample as ethically as possible given the context if that was a worry for you. Beyond that, it's definitely an unconventional sonic experience. I loved it on first listen but NCT is my Ult group and 127 makes my favorite music so I pretty much go in expecting that they're going to do something musically that will end up being polarizing, which is always a risk lol. A lot of members themselves don't seem to particularly care for the song (but I mostly think that it's down to how difficult it is to sing because of the main flute sample being off-key and the very demanding vocal melodies) except for Taeyong (the leader and who you focused on for the dance break in the distressed jeans lol), who vibes with it on a first listen. This is peak NCT to me, challenging how we listen to music and purposefully pushing the boundaries of what's expected from a K-Pop group and that's always been their biggest appeal to me, but it's definitely a risk. I enjoyed the analysis as always and I personally appreciate seeing your thought process because I feel like I learn a lot as well!
