The idea of her not "knowing" English or having a bad accent is so laughable that it really requires no debate imo. Like, come on, the woman can't even leave a sound booth before she is satisfied with how every single syllable sounds in the context of a song and people are gonna tell me she's just ignorant?? 🤣 Even when I actively dislike something she wrote, I can't erase the intention that went into it. (It really is not that hard to have nuanced opinion in things it turns out!)

But the way you described it makes sense as to why she would be a joker card. And in my opinion she had the second best stage presence and she could easily suck you in. 😂 Yuqi really dislikes being called cute. She would much rather be cool but we can’t help that she’s so cute 🤷🏾♀️ And I absolutely agree that Yuqi had the most rapid growth leading up to Queendom. Not to mention she really stepped into the dancer role after Soojin left. I’m not sure if they’ve ever talked about the line distribution in depth but they have talked about it in passing during interviews. However based off of their Killing Voice performance where Shuhua takes a lot of Soojin’s parts, I would assume that it became almost necessary for her to take more parts. (However that is all speculation on my part.🤷🏾♀️) Sidebar. I am also tired of people saying that Soyeon doesn’t know English. She clearly has a competent understanding of English and makes stylistic choices in her lyrics.
