i wonder! if jackson's concept theme "xia" was in reference to the historical fantasy genre "wuxia", cuz thats like a..martial artist adventure genre so perhaps some concepts missed are tropes in this genre. im unfortunately unfamiliar with the genre otherwise but maybe a guess? cuz "xia" doesnt exactly translate to "swordsman", "jian" (blade) would be more accurate

2025-04-17 23:58:16 +0000 UTCI am REALLY happy to see how much you enjoyed this episode as episode 6 and 9 are my two favorite episodes of this season. For me, I liked Team B's choreo more on the initial watch and sided with that in the beginning. When I later on did a rewatch of the choreos, I actually prefer Team A's choreo. It might be because I already knew the ending, I went in with Huang Xiao as the painter, the other dancers as the paint, and the stage as the canvas, as well as it changed my anticipation for the ending.
