Development Update - 008

Okay, I admit this was a rough start. But now that the night and day system is all planned out and taken care of, it should be smooooooth sailing from now on.

We aren't making a whole lot, but I firmly believe that will change after this Chapter. By the way, if anyone knows how to get games published on F95Zone, I'd be eternally grateful. Normally I would be against having the game posted on there, but at the same time, I'm not great at advertising and I am firmly against clickbait.

Concepts

With the entrance of Chapter 2's good side done, I am now beginning work on the evil side.

This is actually pretty fun for me because the evil side is much more chaotic than its counterpart. If we're going to be realistic here, it only makes sense for the Wu Sisters to be more fun. For example, if you've ever seen Bride of Chucky, you would know that even though Chucky is the bad guy, he's still fun since he doesn't live by any rules that restrict him.

I'm actually planning on modeling the Wu Sisters off of the Siamese Cats from Lady and the Tramp:

Basically they would be very witty, comedic, cute, and possibly sarcastic. I also intend on a few fourth wall breaks, but that's for you to find as you play.

Of course, Su Wu will be the most witty, but she will also be fairly innocent to the player's erotic behavior (while also acting like she has the entire situation under control).

That's basically all I can say in the concepts before I give away too much. I'm pretty much set in how everything should go here, so any suggestions would be best if they involve gameplay AFTER the Chapter 2 title card.

Coding

Coding is getting easier and easier. In fact, in some points it's the only thing I'm actually looking forward to doing in a day. But I've been doing my best to get out of mentalities like that.

Like, one of the things I've been focusing on is something called Zen. And something you learn about is that:

If you do the task at hand, then there's no obstacle ahead. Because the only obstacle that ever exists is what you see in your mind.

Now, that doesn't mean you shouldn't be calculated and just be braindead, but just because something doesn't seem optimal in your mind, doesn't mean you should avoid it. So I've been kinda using that to get a lot of the work here done.

In all actuality, I didn't have to do much programming, so my little Guru speech is kinda filler. But hey, maybe you learned something, and that's always a plus for me.

Art

Alright, so now that I have a bit of Chapter 2 done, I can work on the other side of the project.

Brace yourself, this part might be pretty art heavy, so it may take longer than the Tigress one did. Then again, I'm constantly improving and I believe I can do some things more optimally than I did before.

Some things I know we are going to need is:

Our first butt shot. (I'll be using last Dev Update's inspiration art as reference)
An idle sprite for Wan Wu. (Literally just a copy of Wing Wu but with a mask and bigger breasts)
A background of Wu Fortress' interior. (I'll be using Secrets of the Masters as reference)
A background of Wu Fortress' exterior.
And some glowy eyes.

That pretty much makes my list. And to be honest, it doesn't seem that intimidating for me.

Once you put into consideration that Wu Fortress is super cave-like, I don't really have any problems when it gets down to making the backgrounds. The Jade Palace is much more complex and honestly makes me want to rip my arm off and throw it in a river.

What's that? You expected some actual art? Umm... well, all the art I've done so far was in the video. But how about this? I'll do 3 inspirational photos at the end. :D

Miscellaneous

I'm actually super hyped to work on the Wu Sisters because I feel less restricted. Keep in mind, Tigress is still best girl in my opinion. But keeping the peace is also pretty hard for an edgelord like myself. Trust me, I'm that guy that killed the chicken in Riverwood and laughed myself to Whiterun.

Erm... anyways, something else I'd like to say is that I read mlpfunfictionwriter's 4th Chapter of "Quest for the Dragon's Panties" and I gotta say, the hype is real. I only have 2 patrons as of right now, but since these updates become public after two weeks (that way you guys are still ahead of the rest), they will have a chance to see some of the things I recommend people read and check out.
