They definitely do look like babies compared to how you met them in “God of Music”! I think that’s one of the beauties of your marathons hehe I too hope that Pledis continues to do good by Seventeen, the other groups/idols they already manage and others in the future. Same for all the other companies. I understand it is a business but I think companies could still make profit AND be human about their practices.

2024-07-12 00:45:32 +0000 UTCI really enjoyed this era of theirs and when I saw them in the MV's I was FLOORED at how young they were! I agree with you about not "stanning" companies because most are not there to be an "advocate" to their idols unless they make them a ton of money... cough cough YG cough cough...... I'm happy that they treated SEVENTEEN well and I hope they continue doing that for the future with their other groups.

2024-07-11 03:20:06 +0000 UTCMy favorite Seventeen era TO THIS DAY! The choreo, the energy, the song, the music video, the live performances, the STYLING?!?!?!?! The school crush concept, Mingyu with the purple hair, Jeonghan with the long grey/lavender-ish hair, Woozi's bubble gum pink gradient hair, Dino’s chestnut haircut that was not doing him any favors lol I love it all! It was all sooooooo good and even though it hasn't been that many years, I look at this era with some degree of nostalgia. This came out during the year when I have my favorite school memories. This song definitely lives on as part of the ‘2015 PLAYLIST OF THE YEAR’ along with BTS’ Dope, Got7’s Just Right, Red Velvet’s Ice Cream Cake, Oh My Girl’s Closer, SNSD’s Lion Heart, and many more. It was a fun year to be a Kpop fan. Edit: I don’t if anyone mentioned this to you already but although the members of Seventeen have spoken a great deal about how supportive Pledis has been of them and how they love their company. Pledis was not a great company to other groups, major example was Pristin. Prisitn was a girl group with 2 (TWO) former I.O.I members, so people were already hype about what the group had to offer. But after 1 comeback and 1 subunit song, the company left the group to fizzle out. We didn’t get a lot of explanations for the lack of promotions or how they failed to protect some of the members against online harassment. So a lot of Kpop fans don’t think very highly of Pledis. I apologize to any Carats if me bringing this up upsets them but it is one of the many examples of why I don’t ‘stand’ companies. I can appreciate what a company has done for an idol/group’s career (like Pledis for Seventeen) but I’m never a fan of the company or romanticize their relationship with the idol/group beyond what they choose to share.

2023-11-06 06:41:50 +0000 UTCAlso love that you mentioned possible veto-ing of choreo because of old bones lollll another one of my favourite seventeen quirks is how many remixes of songs they have + choreo changes/different adlibs on different stages

2023-11-06 06:33:17 +0000 UTCLove what you mentioned about them keeping their integrity as a group! One of the things seventeen is famous for in the industry is how they have kept their "rookie" energy all these years; the same eagerness to perform, the politeness offstage and passion and energy is all still so evident in all their work (though now it's definitely more refined and matured, obviously as they have matured as artists in the industry all these years). Them renewing their contract early with all 13 members still together just shows how much they stick to their original intentions, and even if i wasn't a fan of them it's sooo worthy of respect and so refreshing to see from a group as big as them.
