2024-01-24 22:59:30 +0000 UTCthe real is always fun whether they’re being serious like this or unserious in concerts where they’ll either show off in the dance break, or take the opportunity to twerk. I feel like you can guess who the no1 offender is from crazy form, then you’ve got yunho and sometimes jongho surprisingly joining in on the shenanigans. But I love it when they get theatrical with it too, they performed it at the end of their kcon set which was an hour long and still had crazyyy energy, idk what kq feeds them

This performance is a fan favorite for 2 reasons: in many ways it was a message to the k industry which was not treating ATEEZ very well at the time (and frankly still isn't) because of their humble beginnings (not a part of the Big4). That year was especially bad because of Kingdom where the song The Real originated so it's become the song they use whenever they have something to say or prove. They have a few sassy performances of it during the Vata thing, which definitely delivered a subtle message as well. The other reason is because this was Mingi's first stage coming back from an 8-months long hiatus and he was really proud of himself. It's cute he got to finish off the free style moment in the Real after Seonghwa.
