That sounds really fun! I’ll have to take a look! Depending on d.league and marathons I may be able to pick up a show but we will see! If all the groups I’ve done decide to have a comeback…. Bless it haha 😂 but it will be fun! Thank you so so much for providing clarity on what happened with Poppin C last time he was there! Excited to see how it goes down!

What an episode! This is the first time in the history of SDC that I got all predictions, from the choreographies to the 7 to smoke battles, correctly. I'm kinda proud of myself and also not, because a lot of those predictions were not what I thought would win but what I thought the judges would go for. Oh well.
About Popping C - he was in the finals of SDC4 but got eliminated in the final episode during the live stream before the battle bracket. Basically, SDC finals have a choreo round, where each dancer does their choreographed performance, and the low-ranking people don't get to proceed to the final battle bracket. SDC4 finals was just one big mess and had a lot of people calling the show rigged because of some of the results (like Ibuki somehow losing to B-Boy Keven despite him dancing like 10s to some of the waacking tracks).
I think with the current lineup, it's a tossup between Neguin, Candyman, and Popping C. Apple, as much as I would love for a choreographer to win, sadly stands no chance in battles. Iris, K, Riceball, Dedson, and Dykens are all good battlers but I don't see them getting past semis (unless the bracket favors them) and Ibuki is not gonna win the live audience.
I don't know if you're looking for another show after this or if your schedule is packed (or if we get a previous season of SDC?) but another (in my opinion) good Chinese dance show is Great Dance Crew. It's kind of what SGDF is to SWF. It features all-female dance crews but with a twist. S1 had a lot of solo dancers from all backgrounds and all styles joining 4 different captains and forming a crew of their own, S2 had different existing crews fusing to become one crew under 6 captains. It's less battles (though they are still present) and a lot more heavily choreography-focused. Judging is pretty much the same as the current SDC judging so expect a lot of 90s in scoring, but overall I feel like it's a chill show that takes itself a lot less seriously than SDC. Especially S1 felt more like a summer camp for aspiring dancers to get together and have fun. I really enjoyed the vibes of it.
