It hurts me to know this and it’s not fun to know it as such a normal thing. I’m hopeful the generations before have been recognized for their efforts to help regulate this ability of acceptance and bring a sense of opposition to the haters!

It is specially tough for some ARMYs to hear RM and/or Hobi apologize for their appearance since they are 2 of the main members that have been hated on heavily since the beginning because of their looks. Like we are talking, “fans” petitioning for them to leave the group and everything. I think overall, the expectations of how idols are supposed to look and present themselves have become more inclusive (sometimes just tolerant) of different ways bodies just are and exist. But there still is a lot of scrutiny and criticism for the appearances of public figures, specially for female idols. Jin’s interpretative choreo of the Spring Day lyrics is supreme!!!
