So, judging by the choreo, the plan was always to have J-Hope sing the beginning even if it's not technically his part in the track

There are a lot of articles and videos that describe theme of this MV with all the references (book, movie and some art installations). A lot of koreans connect all these references with Sewol ferry tragedy.
