Oh something else I forgot to mention, her doing Sara choreography correctly during Random Play Dance is WILD because that is a song she literally has not performed since 2002 at the latest!

Insane SM history. Thank you so much for sharing! Learned so much with your information you showed!

Regarding BoA's age at debut, some things I recall her saying in interviews off the top of my head: a) She doesn't think people should be away from their family like she was when they're that young; b) If she could give advice to her younger self, she would tell her she doesn't have to work so intensely. Although she also remarked that knowing herself at that age, she would not have obeyed that advice, lol. When I was getting into BoA as an artist, honestly the thing that shocked me even more than her talent and abilities is how emotionally mature and mentally stable she is, considering her past. Regarding the whole SM wouldn't exist today without BoA thing, this is factually true--BoA debuted right around when SM's pioneering 1st gen artists were disbanding or leaving the company, and for quite a few years after that, SM failed to debut any successful groups. So there were a few years where SM was surviving primarily on the profits BoA was raking in. Historical context, for reference: H.O.T (successful): debuted in 1996, disbanded in 2001 S.E.S (successful): debuted in 1997, disbanded in 2002 Shinhwa (successful): debuted in 1998, left SM in 2003 Fly To The Sky (successful): debuted in 1999, last release with SM: November 2004 (BoA debuts in 2000 with moderate success in Korea, and truly breaks out on January 17, 2002 with the release of the Listen to My Heart single.) M.I.L.K (unsuccessful): debuted in 2001, last release ever was in 2002 Black Beat (unsuccessful): debuted in 2002, last release ever was their debut album Shinvi (unsuccessful): debuted in 2002, last release ever was their debut album Isak N Jiyeon (unsuccessful): debuted in 2002, last release ever was their debut album SM finally debuted another successful artist, TVXQ, in December 2003. Fun fact, TXVQ literally debuted during that BoA x Britney Spears TV special.
