Goodness! I’m glad that they went this route with the choreography because it actually ties well into the gimmick of the idea! It also makes it fun to play a little Easter egg game on movement overlaps just like it is with the lyrics and outfits! Thank you for the added info!!

2025-03-16 16:29:35 +0000 UTCSo a couple of random unrelated things: That melody is in mansae but it is also a children game song, Woozy said that it's meant to represent like being playfull with your friend, he didn't mention mansae but there's other references in the song and the video so I think it's also referencing mansae. I think the macarena-like choreo fits that idea well though. Also the little part where some of the dancers go to the floor is my favourite, it's not as noticeable in the live performances i think, but here in the dance practice when they slide and the others standing also do a little slide in the opposite direction it really does look like the floor moved it's awesome. Also, you didn't say this but another dancer said that he was kind of expecting them to have a hard choreo because both of them are really good dancers but they instead went for something easier. i don't think hard is necessarily better and i don't thing he thought that either and the choreo is really cool so it's totally possible that that's just the choreo that was always planned but also Hoshi has been struggling with is shoulder since february it seems and recently he showed up to a variety show with his arm in a sling and said he had a ligament injury (probably a shoulder dislocation i think because he has those frequetly apparently, he once dislocated his shoulder during a concert and he actually eventually came back and finished the show like a freaking maniac) so i wonder if maybe they went with something not too taxing to take care of him

And my brain was so caught up on whether or not I was wrong about the rat being my zodiac animal when I read the lyrics wrong about year of the Dragon haha.. My back tattoo was on the line on being wrong haha. Now when their DP comes out I can enjoy all the nuances!

I also don't think you clocked that Choi Young Joon is also in the music video dance scenes. There's so many references to other seventeen songs and seventeen jokes. The chorus is obviously the red light green light game but it's also in Mansae. The obvious Super reference as well as cheers at the end. The hot pink colours reference an inside joke among seventeen that Woozi only wears hot pink underwear. Salute is a reference to the show they did with Na PD (Nana tour).
