[BOYS PLANET] EPISODE 6 FULL

[BOYS PLANET] EPISODE 6 FULL

Comments

Zhang Hao single handedly saved Gunwook from getting evil edited. Mnet tried to show Gunwook as intimidating and tough and arrogant and cocky but then Zhang Hao literally said through his actions "Nope Mnet, not gonna let u do that"!

With Yoo seung on (the one who had the little bit of mistake in Home), it became a fun fact that audience noticed that he only performed Seventeen songs (Very Nice and Home ) and his ranking in the first elimination was also 17. Such a coincidence.

😂😂

Your bafflement at the phrase "sentimental hip-hop" is so funny and exactly how I felt lol

Hahaha 😂😂😂 look at them not helping at all 😂

Jessica Holyfield

I’m BRACED!

Booooo I had no idea 😭😭

So what happens with Viki is really similar to the issue I’ve been experiencing with SDC is they can tell when a software is screen recording and “blacks” it out 😭

Jessica Holyfield

I highly recommend watching shows through Viki when you can!! It’s all subtitled by volunteers/fans, so they cover the captions and will also add translators notes sometimes (not sure if they do for BP, but in general) when needed!

This set of performances are some of my favorite in the whole show. It really only gets better. Fun fact, the preview showed the signs with the songs but blurred, but people were able to unblur it so some sleuths knew the songs and groups prior to episode 6 airing. Ggang did SO good, and Zoom was amazing. It was all over BP Twitter/Tiktok for a while as an iconic performance. Home was good as well. I remember hearing that Jay was sick during it hence why he might not sound the greatest (especially if you compare him to Love Me Right) but idk if that was real or just coping from fans at the time. Either way it didn't seem to affect him. A big complaint I had was they didn't show everyone who got the lowest score, only certain teams, like Home and Zoom showed the lowest scores but not Love Killa and Ggang. Love Killa was so fun and risque in a good way also. I remember there was some tension about Gyuvin winning since he wasn't the focus at all, and to some, felt like he didn't do the best. The episode also frames it like Jiwoong was gonna win then he doesn't so the framing definitely plays a role into that perception as well. I'm not too worried about it anymore since they both make it into the group lol, but at the time, I was worried that maybe Jiwoong wasn't as popular as his votes made him seem and as a Jiwoong one-pick that really stressed me out at the time. Fun fact for the 5 songs at the end, they had extended videos on the Mnet+ app that included every trainee campaigning for the song that they wanted to perform. The majority of people (me included) just put the trainees in the songs they wanted. Some of them wanted to be in songs that I (and maybe you) did not expect. Mnet has always done this where they sort the 52 trainees into the songs THEN have the elimination, causing trainees to potentially switch songs. I've always thought it was dumb and unnecessary just to cause drama but whatever. I know you watched every performance but I'll save my discussion for the other songs for next ep. There are some words and I am both excited and worried for ep 7 iykyk My fave performances out of all of them are Zoom, Limousine, Law, Ggang, Love Killa, and Tomboy.

So thoughts on this episode: It’s not an Mnet survival show without at least one ghost prank. I feel bad for laughing but it’s just so funny to see how each guy reacts. It’s always interesting to see the trainee’s strategy when picking songs when a “push war” is involved. Because it does give the higher ranked trainees an advantage but it also gives the lower ranked trainees a chance to pick because they may not get pushed out. And there’s just so many ways to decide who to push out because as the higher ranked trainee, you can push out someone you don’t want to perform with, someone you think doesn’t fit the song, or someone you think is too good and might overshadow you, etc. Yes it does feel kinda mean but it does make for good tv entertainment. Junhyeon is such a character to have on this show. Like he serves such good comedic relief but here, you see more sides of him, like yes he’s loud and fools around, but he can be serious when needed. It was this episode where I started noticing him and rooting for him. Jongwoo is also a beautiful gem that viewers found late but MAN! Does he shine. Him getting pushed out of “Love Killer” I think did him good because I think we all know he could pull off that concept well, so it’s predictable. Him having to do a much softer concept/image like “Home” showed a new side of him to the audience and it paid off. Also it birthed an adorable friendship between Jongwoo and Jay. Idk if you connected it yet, but Wumuti is also in XLOV. I love how observant and caring Jiwoong is. He’s totally leader material but doesn’t seem to WANT to be the leader. Instead he always seems to sit back and watch things from behind and step in when needed. He let Matthew be the leader and let him run things the way he did and went along with whatever Matthew instructed even though he felt like Matthew was rushing. He only really pulled Matthew aside and talked to him when he saw him struggling. Idk, it’’s something I’ve noticed Jiwoong doing in every group he’s in on the show. Sidenote where’s his “ohhhh yeahhh” background music?? lol Anyways, brace yourself for the next episode, that’s where all the DRAMA is at. Sidenote: They mentioned it in the caption (that didn’t get translated) but Hwanhee (K-team kill this love leader) withdrew from the show prior to this round. You can kinda see during the song selection that Law’s number was covered/changed to 5 so that’s where they took out a spot. And I believe Ph-1 was on tour during the filming of this show so that’s why we see various guest rap mentors throughout the show.

Actually, Mnet is one of the stations that does allow both nips. I remember road to kingdom, I think it was Pentagon’s Hongseok who asked if they can show both and they said they’re allowed to as long as they don’t dance inappropriately right after. Tattoos still seem to not be allowed on Mnet shows though since several guys here have tattoos that are covered up like Ricky always as a piece of tape down the side of his neck and Jongwoo is almost always wearing long sleeves or has his left arm covered because he has several on his arms and shoulder.

I need to see the first reaction to Gang because I have been waiting for it for weeks 🤣🤣🤣 I have to say 3 of the ones you mentioned got in the groups you put them into for the challenge of the end 🤓☝️ and is really shocking where some others end up

Its Just Lustfly

I don't wanna spoil what songs the members will be doing so for now, I just wanna say it's always a pleasure whenever zerobaseone performs "over me" live.

So for your predictions (writing them down for my own brain to follow: Junhyeon in Switch, Jongwoo in Supercharger, Jiwoong and Keita in Over Me, Sung Hanbin and Matthew in Say My Name and Gunwook in En Garde)... I don't want to say much but this is all very interesting, especially for one of them! But for sure, they fit what those boys have showed until now. I love this part of the show because it brought so many future group members together for the first time, at least on camera (3 ZB1 members in Tomboy and 3 others in Love Killa, Jay and Jongwoo from OnePact in Home, Lee Jeonghyeon and Mun Junghyun from EVNNE in Gang, etc.). Some of them were already friends or had interacted at some point in the first episodes, but here we really discovered so many dynamics that are still displayed to this day. It all feels truly nostalgic. Gang is considered a meme song in Korea (which is why they didn't want to do it), so that group pulling an amazing performance while still making us laugh proved how talented they are. Yoon Jongwoo really did a Yoon Jongwoo with Home, it was very emotional and it showed his skills in stage making. Zoom was so fun and for the records, pH-1 was so impressed with Keita throughout the show that they recorded a track together afterwards. Love Killa's practice was hard to rewatch, but I was so glad when they proved that they weren't all just loved for their personalities. Episode 7 is kind of a rollercoaster and I'll anticipate your comments on it. Thanks for your video!

Lumos

ngl i feel like 1/3 of subs were missing

Maya

The subtitles on the screen can provide additional information in addition to the conversations of the trainees, Too bad it was omitted too much in the English subtitles...

rum

Ah such an encouragement to hear! I can't wait myself!!!

Jessica Holyfield
