I'm so glad you're watching the extra content! It's so fun to see them in a more relaxed state as opposed to the stress of the challenges of being on the show lol Matthew trained at HYBE and was one of the boys slated to join &Audition, the show that formed &Team, but he was cut before the show started. Apparently he and Maki joined at the same time. Then Matthew trained at CUBE for a little bit, idk how long, but that's how he knows Hui and Hanbin, as that is where they met. Since he's under MNH, he knows the boys of 8turn as well. The song they're dancing to is O.O.O (Over and Over and Over), the signal song from Girls Planet 999, the show that formed Kep1er, and was the show prior to this one. That show separated groups by Korean, Japanese, and Chinese contestants as opposed to Korean vs Global. I hope you check it out at some time! The Yuehua trainees are separated by K and G but they all seem close, which is really nice to see. These snippets seem to be either in between auditions or when they basically give everyone a break to relax, touch up, go to the bathroom or whatever. The audition segment of the Produce shows are notorious for being extremely long. I think I heard in an interview somewhere or read somewhere that the whole filming for the auditions is over 24 hours of camera filming, since they have to get through all auditions in one sitting, and it can be a long time between auditions. I imagine that's why a lot of people are tired af.

2025-04-07 23:54:23 +0000 UTCWhat I liked about this Behind the scenes clip is the fact you see these trainees hanging out, talking, and playing around with each other, especially K-team and g-team. They tried to really push the K vs G agenda rivalry in the actual episodes but here, you see Matthew sharing a seat with Hui and YueHua's K and G teams coming over to each other's sides and trading stickers. Also I'm amazing how quickly these guys become friend with each other. Like at 1:25 you see Winnie (Thai) asking Wumuti (Chinese) if he was nervous in english because he didn't know what language Wumuti spoke. But Wumuti answered him in fluent Korean, which threw Winnie off but Winnie is also fluent in Korean (both live and trained in Korea) and then they just start chatting and joking around like they've been friends. Then later on, they end up in the same "Love Me Right" group.
