2025-05-30 21:58:18 +0000 UTCI think in the 1st season they really emphasized this show being a chance for dancers to be stars/center stage, so I think that's part of the reason 'star quality' and performance are weighed so heavily. I'm still confused by some choices (Kyoka v Rie) but I really love this show. Thanks for the reaction! <3

2025-05-29 21:55:02 +0000 UTCI wonder if dancers like Kyoka and Marlee and Fantaye and others with battle experience even take these wins seriously? They HAVE to be frustrated... I know I was. Obviously Marlee's win couldn't be ignored, but Danica?!?!?! KYOKA!?!?!? Since I watched every season I expected this (just like you said you wouldn't be surprised), but Kyoka was clearly upset with the result (as she should be) and I wonder if these losses are actually getting to them since it's obviously a different scene...

2025-05-29 21:33:29 +0000 UTCI am very sad about this ep, In a lot of ways I was soo so excited to watch it, and I even watched it live when it first came out, but i was underwhelmed alot with most people, I dont understand on what planet did Ria win over kyoka, for lip j vs ibuki I wouldnt be upset w either of them winning because It comes down to a preference as they are both great, yet I dont feel like we have seen best from anyone yet?Gabee shouldnt have won either but they had to give something to Korea so they didnt loose all the battles I guess. Like its so much more focused on drama and stuff, ik mnet and I knew to expect some of it but come on lol, in 1st and 2nd season we mostly saw battles plus some drama, here it was drama plus a few bad edits of battles. I loved marlee in her battle and in general she is awesome. I really had some issues with the person from Ag squad calling Aiki chukky and chukkys bride, like I get that its a competition but aiki could be her mom fr, show some sort of respect and dont go for someones looks :D Anyways I am happy ur reacting to full episodes and I hope that they will show more 1vs1 battles as this is not enough for me. In other seasons we had much more epic battles and more musicallity imo, I am not sure if in 1st and 2nd season they could choose the songs and here they cant so thats why I was seeing people kind of get lost with what moves they were doing.. But yeah, I overhyped it for myself haha

2025-05-29 16:36:18 +0000 UTCalso, based on the trailer, team korea is gonna have it tough during the class mission (knowing honey j's choreo will be picked and she gets chosen as the worst dancer). they have also mentioned in interviews that they describe the journey so far with the word resilience, so it seems they are gonna go through it in these episodes lol (just something i forgot to mention) the aiki and tiktok storyline kinda threw me off a little bit cause they already touched on that in season 1, so it felt repetitive yk

2025-05-29 13:27:38 +0000 UTCi was actually a bit disapointed with the episode and the battles. other than maybe the ibuki x lipj one, all of them just felt okay. about the results, i understand why gabee won even though danica had better technique, like, you couldnt even see her as gabee did all of that lol (i do wish she would dance more, even in her season 1 battles, it felt like she just wanted to overwhelm everyone, which is kinda interesting to me because its not like she cant dance). the riehata and kyoka one was interesting to me to say the least, dont understand how rie won that but who am i to judge really. im hoping next weeks ep will have better battles and less drama (but its mnet, so drama is always guaranteed lmao)

2025-05-29 13:23:13 +0000 UTCI think on Lia Kim's channel while she interviewed STF dancers they talked about the pre interviews and how mnet tried to goad them to trash talking by asking question like "x said this about you, how do you respond?" and with SWF they could turn it into an entertaining petty rivalry but with STF the dancers just mainly felt hurt and sulked instead of taking the bait

2025-05-29 11:24:09 +0000 UTCIf Mnet wanted emotional investment by making Kyoka lose both battles (Rie hate and Rihey), they definitely succeeded 😂😂 Just some backstory on when Kyoka said “why do I have to dance behind someone as backup for the dance that I risked my life for?” In 2015, Kyoka was working so hard (sleeping 3–5 hours) her immune system basically crashed. She ended up with a severe arm infection—so bad that doctors told her there was a 90% chance they’d have to amputate, or she might die. You can still see the large scar on her right arm. A year later, she made a recovery, participated and won Juste Debout 2016 with Maika Sorry of the yapping I absolutely love watching this with you 🥰❤️
