They are making straight music” hahahahahaha 14:20 I think as BTS and the company got bigger, they started trying harder to protect staff’s identities so they blur their faces on behind the scenes content. But I also speculate that many staff members, specially women, that work directly with the group also started doing their best to not show up in frames. Because sadly, the number of delusional stalkers with enough time and money to harass staff members has only gone up. YES!! Paparazzi culture in the U.S. is so predatory and demanding/rude. It dehumanizes artists in a different way that audiences do and it’s soooooo normalized. It makes me happy when artist like Chappell Roan call out photographers in the moment for their behavior and the way they speak to artists in these carpets/events. 26:44 that is a good question. Because the Kendrick vs. Drake back and forth only exposed what some of us already knew about Drake. The impact of Drake’s music and his reach are undeniable but his persona outside of the music has always been… questionable to put it lightly. This was fun to re-watch with you after so many years and it has me thinking. After everything that has happened in the world and for BTS specifically since 2019, how do they view award ceremonies like the Grammys now? Do they still hold them on high regards? I think I’m specially thinking of what RM might think after all the topics he explore in his last project “Right People, Wrong Place” and the conversations he had in the documentary of the making-of this project. Sorry for the essay but this woke up a lot of feelings and thoughts!
