That would make sense with the politics of American Award shows. They did this for religious artists as well who had mainstream tracks go off.

It's tricky to find people who will see you as a human and not what you have to offer.. Love that they have a relationship with Halsey like that!

She performed BWL with them in Paris while they were on tour, BTS gifted her a custom mic as a christmas present in 2019. When Halsey had a baby, BTS congratulated her, when Suga had birthday Halsey posted a birthday wishes with photos of Suga holding her baby son. After pandemic Halsey attended their concert and posted a group photo of them with a caption "uncle gang". Halsey was also a guest at Suga's concert in LA. Over the years, Halsey mentioned BTS in interviews, complemented them, shared fun stories, defended them, supported them. Bts of course also mentioned Halsey with high praises but I just wanted to shout her out. I think the last interaction we've seen was in Suga's documentary when he visited Halsey's house for christmas 2021 or 2022. Suga said then "I'm aware that some people don't like us. I mean, we're a boyband. Some of the things we've done might not mean much to them. Despite the fact that we're putting out a lot of work. But the pop stars were among the ones who understood us and saw us for who we are, and paid no attention to all the hate. They treated us like human beings. We might not speak the same language, but we get each other." Later he also called her an angel :') and there's a running joke that with Halsey calling Suga her "twin" because she feels, they're that simmilar. I really wanted to include all this and give credit to Halsey, because, even with BTS we see collabs that often don't mean much more that business, and that's fine I guess, but there are special ones just like Halsey, who through their work and words prove that it can be much more than that and I think we should celebrate that. (also shout out to Chris Martin because he also is a very special person, who was always there for BTS)

2025-06-16 06:20:04 +0000 UTCbesides all of the amazing things that they do: performing, making sure to express themselves in interviews etc. it honestly kills me that they were sitting there at the awards, artists perform in front of them, they come to meet them and then there's Jungkook eating chocolate popcorn and pretzels like it's nothing. so funny lol. But seriously, huge respect to bts for pulling this off. After a hard year, they got to work, they got great results and they honestly seemed so happy while doing all this.
