I do agree that national identity should not be a component. That is also the same thought I have with the public commenting on whether the crews represented their own countries. Only people who are from those countries can truly provide insights as to whether they feel their own countries are represented. It does not matter how many K-pop, K-drama, anime, movie, and influencer content you have watched. You will not truly understand the nuance shown unless you are born and raised within the culture.
I have seen many non-Koreans criticise Bumsup (grim reaper and nightmare), stating that they used the same concept as 1 Million (elegant and flowery) but I have yet to see any Koreans agreeing with that. Even for Ojo Gang there are many non-Japanese who fail to see the cultural nuances other than the cherry blossom high angle section while the Japanese enjoyed the video a lot. It's too subjective.
So, how can we have this as a judging criteria where the judges gives a score on other crews when there is not a representative from all 4 countries?

i think itโs so ironic how the slogan for wswf is โa world dance battle of unapologetic womenโ but the second they start acting unapologetic by standing up for themselves and advocating for their team when they are treated badly they get threatened and evil edited?? like i fear this is the end of this franchise ๐ญ also in the new teaser for ep 7 on the choom they showed a clip of bumsup apologizing to ag squad iโm guessing over the reaction video and the comments they made which i was surprised they included. but im happy they did cuz ill take anything that clears up the drama so people can stop hating on any of the girls. i just wish they did the same for all the crews and showed them getting along or addressing any drama and hate like they do with bumsup. The film mission challenge was also the most unnecessary thing to add like mnet couldnโt have just let them rest for a week instead of giving them more work ๐ญ
