I bet it was a super melty experience! Love it! Really happy that we have some performances with Siyeon and her taking a break for her health with others because we want long term healthy and happy DC!

2024-07-13 08:57:21 +0000 UTCAlso I forgot to add for either of the dance performances: I noticed how they modified the slow cool walk of the final chorus for both 6- and 7-people live performances versus the MV to show who are harmonizing and I love that. The MV version is SO cool and cinematic, really giving that slow-mo walking hero shot - but the live performance highlighting the harmonizing singers is so 👌🤞

Siyeon mentioned on social media that her absence was a very short notice thing so they maybe finalized the new formations and distribution 24-48 hours before the showcase. Maybe 3 days, max. (She was most likely trying damn hard to power through the anxiety but it caught up with her and she just couldn't go on without resting.) I loved your face when you realized that Handong covered the first chorus part lol - people on YT keep saying that they're all easily filling in for Siyeon, but nah you can hear Dongie straining a little bit since it's outside her normal range and Sua was really having to conserve her energy. It just really shows that a) Siyeon is freaking powerful and b) holy crap Dongie has improved her singing so damn much to where she COULD take over Siyeon's first chorus and they didn't have to rely on just Yoohyeon doing the entire thing by herself. I'm glad you got to see the ot7 versions - and like you said, you see the original intention of it. I listened to the dancEAR video with my headphones and jfc - that was some good brain juice right there. It sounded like they were right in my ears, the stomping of their feet, even the fire had a part! Very good brain juice for me.
