Very interesting take!! And I believe Kevin said that LOONA wasn't awarded any points in the first round (even though they were promised by Mnet that they would receive something) so you are remembering correctly!

That exact wording (according to the subtitles) is "One level above/one level below themselves" that means that if a team picked no one as being above them then the team that they pick for one level below them are literally who they believe is in second place. I know no one interpreted it like that but rather who is the worst team, but the wording is probably different in Korean so maybe it's not actually "one above/below" but rather "highest/lowest". It's just interesting to note. The other thing that's unfair and I could be wrong, and someone correct me if I am, but I think LOONA was supposed to get some points or something but then MNET was like nah.
