Yeah, they technically did have official positions during debut but they never really stuck to them. That's probably what the Japanese site's based off on but it's not really their current official positions. That's why I said whenever Cravity members are asked, they only mention that Serim's their leader and Woobin's the main vocal. Even they usually don't give a straight answer whenever they're asked who their main dancer is and they don't use titles like lead dancer and lead vocal during their interviews.

2024-10-20 13:57:56 +0000 UTCI know this is 2 months late and I hate to be that person. CRAVITY does have official positions, they are only listed in their japanese website. When they first inroduced them, they only mention either rap or vocal. IDK why they never talk about their positions and why they mention them in that site (maybe it's something they have to list in japan). I kinda like that they don't really care about the "official positions" and just do whatever, they gave them freedom to try new things (like members trying rap or doing the high notes). Anyways, according to their official japanese wesite, these are their positions: Serim - Leader, Main Rapper Allen - Lead Rapper, Main Dancer Jungmo - Lead Vocalist Woobin - Main Vocalist Wonjin - Lead Vocalist, Lead Dancer Minhee - Lead Vocalist Hyeongjun - Sub-Vocalist/Main Dancer Taeyoung - Sub-Vocal/Lead Dancer Seongmin - Sub-Vocals

As impressive as it was to have them all in ALL the DP's I never want any group to feel overworked and that is a tough reality in a lot of cases! VERY excited for this group in RTK2!

I may continue to struggle with all 9 but my marathon goal of 5 is DEFINITELY met with flying colors which is worth celebrating! Now that I have a better idea of Minhee and finding him, I'll be able to check on his stiffness level during future promotions on both rtk2 and CBs! And with MVPs I tend to do that more when I know who I'm watching so since I now know them better I can declare more MVP's in the future!! Watching your analyses of all their choreos definitely gave me a newfound appreciation for them. Now onto another really long comment from me haha. 1. You've gotten all the members spot on! Even though you confused some of them, you always got them all correct in the end. I'm looking forward to seeing you get to know them more through rtk (although I'm definitely not looking forward to rtk myself because mnet has never been particularly kind to cravity). 2. You mentioned earlier during their debut era that you noticed Minhee had some torso stiffness so I was wondering if you've noticed him improving as you've been watching their choreos. Also, since you mentioned that Allen's your MVP here, I was wondering if you have any other memorable MVPs in their other choreos too. 3. Cravity's kind of a special case where even they don't exactly know what their positions are. The only fixed positions are that Woobin's their main vocal and Serim's the leader and main rapper. During debut, Starship pushed Allen as their main dancer but recently they've been pushing Hyeongjun towards the main dancer position more because he's gone pretty viral for his dance covers (especially for Vata's 새삥, Bada's Smoke, and girl group choreos in general) and he himself has been more vocal about wanting to actually learn more dance styles/genres since he's only ever learned K-pop choreo. Although, when they're asked who their main dancer is, they usually don't have an answer and just say that every member has their own style and it changes based on the song. From Luvitys' perspective, their main dancers are Allen and Hyeongjun and their lead dancers are Serim, Wonjin, and Taeyoung (although I personally think Woobin should be included too). The five of them tend to be considered the dance/performance line, although Wonjin dips in and out sometimes to join the vocal line of Woobin, Jungmo, Minhee, Seongmin. Usually Hyeongjun, Serim, and Wonjin take center for their dance breaks and sometimes Allen or Taeyoung do too. 4. As for the dance practices always having all 9 members, I definitely wouldn't say it's because they're exactly healthy given how overworked they are :') The members just (for some reason) push through the pain and perform even when they're sick. Wonjin had some chronic lower back pain for a while and Minhee's also had (has?) some chronic neck pain too but they still push themselves to perform. Woobin actually was sick during their entire promotions for C'est La View and that's why he wasn't singing live here. The only time anyone's been absent was when Seongmin went back home for like 3 weeks due to his mom's health scare during Cheese and Megaphone promotions. They're just very tenacious (and young).
