Oh geez, just finished watching the rest of the ep and the drama! On what Shin said about Do Linh doing underhanded tactics I dont agree with at all. I dont think there is anything wrong with what she did, she didnt think her choreo would win so she changed her tactic and focused on stealing the choreo which is a major part of this challenge and she studied her audience so that she would be prepared for this particular mission. I think its the same thing with studying for a test, she did her homework and she passed. Just because they dont respect her, doesnt mean she didnt use her skill set to win this challenge fair and square. The way they were talking about it made it seem like she did horribly and bribed the judges for their votes. I do understand that the judges have made questionable choices in the past and now they are questioning their choices but at the same time they are questioning this one because they dont respect her. If someone else had won, it wouldnt be this big drama. Maybe Shin would still want to leave because it seems like shes juggling a lot of stuff emotionally right now so totally fair but at the end of the day if you didnt do your best then you didnt do your best, end of story.
Definitely agree that they should be given some grace and people online can be very harsh and at the end of the day these crews are just trying their best with what they got. I just wish not everything was turned into such a big drama and yes they will never learn with this Judges thing! Obviously, just because someone is part of their dance culture doesnt mean they will make the best choices but it would definitely help in the overall respecting the choices they make I guess.
Intrigued to see the outcome of the leader class mission. Also hoping the Do Linh pulls a Bada and has the video directing all organized and ready to go. I know a lot of the drama once the main dancer is picked is about how they direct and the leader class on SWF 2 behind the scenes had barely any screentime because they all got along and Bada had everything from start to finish ready to go for the video directing by the time they started practicing (at least from what the ep showed us of course).

Oooo Jess, I was so underwhelmed with the Leader rank competition for main dancer and choreo. I do think part of the problem was the choreo. At first, I didnt understand why they picked Oops because I saw Wackxxy react to the leader rank mission on her channel and Oops felt very forgettable there but seeing the whole episode and the whole main dancer competition here added so much perspective and Oops (especially on the 2nd go around) was the most stable throughout the entire dance and it didnt feel awkward in certain parts on her like it did with others.
Looking forward to whats gonna happen with the video directing since she has experience fiming kpop cover videos but will that translate well into this mission? We shall see!

I accidentally commented under a wrong post lol, so here's a shorter version of what I said originally in continuation:
I think this is the judges fault. Their past decisions were really questionable, so it's not shocking this decision would be questioned. Wootae also didn't help by talking about directing skills, because I think if he didn't say that, F.E.D.'s leader wouldn't have said her piece, either. I thought SMF backlash should've clued the producers in to not bring in celebrity judges who're not a part of the culture. But then again, the wildest judging is coming from the 1st-gen b-girl, so who knows?

Wow, that leader drama is so anger inducing. It's not like they weren't all strategizing how to win the round. Maybe Salad's leader didn't follow SWF franchise before this, but I still find it hard to believe that nobody would've told her what this mission would be about. You not only have to make a choreo that pleases all the other dancers, so it can't be too difficult/in your favor, but you also still have to dance it the best among them, because the judges only judge based on what they can see in front of them. Nothing else matters--it doesn't matter how terrible of a dancer you think OOPS's leader is, if she does the choreo better than you in that moment, she wins.
At least the comments section on the YouTube agrees with this... Man, they should've just done Street Dance Vietnam S2 instead of this.
