This is STILL my favorite pre-debut MV to date within LOONA... GORGEOUS color grading that I could only DREAM of replicating... Haunting yet beautiful!!! Such craftsmanship!!

With the debut of each additional member, and with formation of units under the name of LOOΠΔ, they grew along with their fandom all around the globe. ‘LOOΠΔ 1/3’, composed of HeeJin, HyunJin, HaSeul and ViVi, put together stories of innocence and excitement in the first crush of the girls in their music. Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry formed ‘LOOΠΔ / ODD EYE CIRCLE’ and take charge in their love. The CD version of the track will be the ‘original mix’ version as a perk for fans who purchase the CD. ‘See Saw’ the supporting track which is a duet of Chuu and Go Won, defies the typical grammar of the k-pop genre to expand the boundaries of music with the uniqueness of LOOΠΔ. Chuu’s refreshing voice along with Go Won’s adolescent voice create the dynamic balance like riding a see-saw. Yves, Chuu and Go Won will soon meet the last piece of the puzzle to create their own universe of girls who escaped the Garden of Eden."

2024-10-05 19:32:11 +0000 UTCugh such a beautiful MV truly, it's been so long since I've seen it and I am once again reminded of just how gorgeous it is. go won's MV tells the story of go won learning to love herself by embracing her "shadow" self. throughout the video, we see her shadow being a consistent character that she chases after. she sings about loving herself even if she's alone and she also accepts that she only needs herself to be happy. she is her "one & only". but because she is in eden at this time (as shown by the set design) she can't fully be herself and instead is forced to put on a different image. her shadow self is showing her what her true self is like but she is hesitant to accept it. she is also running away from yves and chuu because they also want her to accept her true self but she isn't ready yet. she eventually learns to embrace her shadow self (her true self) and eats her fruit, the pineapple, and escapes from eden. the aspect ratio of the video also highlights and tells the story of how go won goes from the image of what is expected of her to her true self. the landscape ratio shows the wider view of what she's reaching for while the portrait ratio shows a limited view and the image that go won is expected to keep. another note is that in the scene at the table after go won eats her fruit, chuu is seen to be looking at yves while yves looks at go won, and go won is looking straight ahead towards the audience which can mean that she's looking at hyeju but we can't see her yet since she wasn't revealed yet. also if you look at the table, you can see cherries on it, meaning that choerry is also present as shown when pops up for a brief second hanging upside down like a bat and drops the apple, officially delivering yves' message that she gave to choerry in her own mv at the end. there is also a cat shown in the mv briefly as well representing hyunjin who is go won's mirror. go won also represents the "x" in yyxy, showing that's the outlier in the unit. I haven't mentioned it before but each unit usually has a member that's an outlier such as yeojin in 1/3 since she represents the / in 1/3, choerry in oec because her odd eye is on the right instead of the left like kim lip and jinsoul and also her not being part of the original oec trio, and then go won as the x. she is often depicted throughout the MVs as an important member in the lore since she often appears as a big focus in the full group teasers and a lot of her scenes in general are often important points in the lore.

2024-09-14 08:22:03 +0000 UTCSpot on with all your observations again! One thing to specify is that her color is officially 'Eden Green' which is the teal-like color. Another thing that is pretty fun that most people don't catch on their first watch is there are a couple scenes that show a girl upside down. That member is Choerry acting as her animal the fruit bat. During the mv you also see Gowon draped in a cloth. Given that her animal is a butterfly that is essentially her in a cocoon. The ending of the mv with her eating her fruit and joining the other 2 girls is her breaking out of that cocoon represented by her hair color changing to blonde.

Also, tysm for calling her Hyeju at least for this vid, she really didn’t like Olivia Hye 😭 I’m curious so I have to ask, you’re already doing so much by checking out their predebut and adding the teasers as well. But will you have time to check out the post BBC releases? There’s been so much music since they all redebuted but I would love to hear your thoughts on them even if it’s later down the line. Especially when it comes to the choreo that they’re doing now and how it compares to even the insane full group stuff that they were doing before
