This was such a fun watch and I love learning ALL of the fun facts from line distribution and the "-ki" naming! I will say we have some great "in the pocket" tier requesters who know what the people want haha! Love it!

2024-09-26 20:44:12 +0000 UTCi'm a little late here but i saw that someone in an earlier comment mentioned how niki, taki and maki all share the name "riki" and i'm pretty sure their stage names come from their last names!! i'm not positive if this is really why but i assume they all just took the first letters of their last names, so NIshimura riki becomes niki, TAkayama riki becomes taki and riki MAus becomes maki! just a little fun theory lol and like everyone else mentioned i also wanted to point out how they highlighted the younger members so much for this one especially considering the lyrics. all of them had lines that i feel like are relevant to their ages like jo having "growing up has no rules," harua, yuma and taki having "i'm not a kid anymore" and maki singing "that's our new voices" (which i imagine is about how much they've changed since joining the group and also just... puberty in general 😭). i think it hit especially hard with taki for a lot of us since he was 15 the first time we saw him on i-land and now he's so grown up. i always love watching your &team reactions so thanks!!

2024-09-26 20:22:56 +0000 UTCThank YOU for providing by great context and fun little trivia facts about their names (Jo’s government name being Jo is literally the BEST 😂) I know I will be seeing &Team again so I am HERE for all of it!!!

2024-09-24 01:17:56 +0000 UTCUtterly delighted to see you enjoying &Team so much, thank you for another splendid reaction/analysis. On the topic of lore, Koegawari is a b-side from their latest single (Aorashi) and if I'm remembering correctly, it translates literally to "voice break/change" which functions both as a transition into something new, and a nod to the fact that the younger half of the group (Yuma, Jo, Harua, Taki, & Maki) are all transitioning into adulthood. As was mentioned in the comments, both Samidare and Aorashi are about them transitioning out of the grieving/anger period and moving into something new. To me, Koegawari feels like a sister song to Under the Skin and War Cry so it's nice to see them visiting different styles in their b-sides. On the topic of names, Jo's name is Jo, lol. However, K and EJ are both abbreviation of their actual birth names. In EJ's case, since his name is also Eui Joo, a portion of the fandom just calls him "Euijoo" rather than "EJ." Both Taki and Maki (and Ni-ki from Enhypen) share the same birth name of "Riki" it's a little amusing how they all decided to keep the 'ki' ending. Anyhow, this was very enjoyable, thank you for giving so much love to our little werewolves.

2024-09-23 21:58:04 +0000 UTCJey you are a REAL one for the rec and I am so happy we all got more &TEAM this month (I mean I don't mind keeping a good thing going haha) and the lore makes a lot more sense after your explanation, so thank you for that! I hope that they get a break soon (One reason I have been hesitant to look at ENHYPHEN material both in marathon format or independently because I don't want to "approve" of how they are being worked if that makes sense? Maybe after they get a mini vacation I will be open to giving them a poll spot for a future marathon1

2024-09-23 19:12:36 +0000 UTCNico mentioned few times he spend a lot of time in the us during summer vacations when he was young. maybe that's a reason for choosing an american name as a nickname/second name/stage name. Definitely easier to pronounce than Yixiang.

2024-09-23 15:15:51 +0000 UTCSo glad to see you enjoyed it pretty much for the exact same reasons as I did. They've definitely been super active this year, having a mini tour and popping up at a lot of festivals alongside dropping several mvs and performance videos. I'm hoping to see them and Enhypen get a break sometime soon 🙏🏿. K and Fuma are the oldest members. They don't have official positions save for the leader (EJ), sub-leader (Fuma), and performance leader (K), which I think they all voted on. K just barely missed getting into Enhypen, but Taki, EJ, and Nicholas were all also on I-LAND. Nicholas is Taiwanese btw, and I also find it amusing that his stage name is so western but he's one of the English speakers so maybe that's why lol. Harua (19), Taki (19) and Maki (18) are the maknae line. (They missed an opportunity to have all of them sing the "I'm not a kid anymore" line by not giving one of them to Maki even though it would have been the most fitting for him 🤣🤣🤣) As far as the lore goes, the one directly before this (Samidere), was about them kind of finally coming to terms with their old pack leader's death (all of their title tracks before it are varying degrees of angry/angtsy) and coming together as the pack they are now so I interpret this as them reflecting on that and preparing to start anew with a brighter outlook. At least I think. I can never be too sure and I haven't watched their behind the scenes of any of their mvs yet so take that with a grain of salt lol. Thanks as always.
