I LOVE HAVING A FELLOW NERD HERE 😂♥️ I feel like they limited the different styles of ballet technique to give a more cohesive look (Korean platforms are MAD sensitive to having CLEAN dances on their shows) so I see why we only see the more popularized ones. I bet you we will be getting a “partnering” challenge in the future. This is the perfect show to do it on and I will be LIVING for it all!!!! Can’t wait to see what they choose to do with contemporary and learning about Korean Dance!! WOOHOO!! NERDS UNITE

2024-10-01 10:43:09 +0000 UTCThis was fun! Crazy exhausting format though. It was all male variation bread and butter stuff back to back. I saw a mixture of Cecchetti, English, and Russian/Vaganova style training. The ballet nerd in me would have love to have seen someone with Bournonville training just so I could see some crazy petite allegro. I didn't see any Balanchine style dancers either which would have been fun because it would have different arms, different musicality and maybe changing spotting direction during turns. I'm getting greedy because I want all the things! Our fav from group A was my overall winner. He felt very stable the whole way through. I did spot a couple that didn't stand out in this format that I have a hunch are excellent at partnering. We probably won't see that much in this show but I am curious. I also think our a la seconde master at the end would have a beautiful adagio.

I think ballet was always my first love when it came to dance and I've recently been getting into watching more ballet related videos so this is a perfect show for me right now. Also trying to come up with the courage to go back to taking ballet clases >.< Im interested to see how the show moves forward and am hoping they do another season with our lady dancers. Oh and I saw a tweet listing out all the judges and their credentials for the show and they seem like a very highly experienced group. I'll try to find the list if you want to take a look unless you're just waiting for the ep 1 to see who they are.
