I am so glad he is at a place where he enjoys danec and loves it! It's a hard transition and a lot of conversations you have to have with yourself along the way! VERY excited to see him in the second season!

2024-10-01 05:43:37 +0000 UTCI wish we could have a Ten Santa dance too. Unfortunately, SM wouldn't let Ten take part in the second season, so we don't have the opportunity...boo SM. Santa is playing a version of the character Sun Wukong (the monkey king) from the "Chinese Odyssey" movie. He plays a reincarnation of Sun Wukong that needs to forgo all human desires when wearing the golden circlet to become the Monkey King again. This includes his love for Feifei's character (Zixia). He needs to be the Monkey King to rescue his master and friend, but that means giving up on love. So he is struggling between his memories of Zixia and picking up the golden circlet that is on the rock. That is what he is portraying at the end. Santa is an advanced practitioner of Capoeira. There is a local Brazilian group in Santa's hometown and he started training when he was very young, I think before he was 10 years old. His older sister is even more into it and actually teaches beginning Capoeira. I feel like Santa going to China was one of the best things that happened to him. even though it has been hard in some areas. He has been able to slowly let go of his unrealistic expectations for himself and others. In the second season of dance crew you see him mostly encouraging his dance team to experiment with other styles to build a wider repertoire of movement, and help to grow their confidence. He recently had a stage at a big festival in China and as he was singing and dancing in 104F heat, he gave a really sweet speech at the end about he is finally "starting to love his imperfect self." And he encouraged all of his listeners to love themselves, even their imperfections. Just a warning for episode 10 of dance crew, it is long covering 3 parts. Fortunately, it is not SDC finale long!😅
