Multi-Shell Breakdown for October's IEF!

Hello Patrons,

We hope you've given your Interplanetary Expeditionary Force troops a good visual inspection, and have begun drops into enemy territory to show them who's boss!

We're back to give you the full Multi-Shell breakdown!

Multi-Shell Options:

In the images below, you can see that we've highlighted certain elements in bright orange, purple, blue, pink, yellow, and green (and you'll see similar images in many of our previous releases too!)

These colours mean that each highlighted element is actually a separate "shell" - a complete 3D object that it is possible to move, scale, interchange, or even remove entirely! Want to know how? We've got a few excellent text and video resources for you to check out;

Our Multi-Shell Beginner's Guide post

Sonic Sledgehammer's Video Tutorial using MeshMixer

And finally, an in-depth Blender Tutorial that covers advanced movement and manipulation of individual shells, as well as a whole lot more if you're interested!

Here are this month's Multi-shell elements:

This month's torsos come in two different varieties, and include pouches as shelled elements. Included in your download are a few extra torsos that have had some of these pouches removed, so you have instant variety in your squads, should you simply want to get them printed ASAP.

The Heads & Helmets feature a few small elements that are shelled, such as facial hair, sunglasses, visors and rivets! We've also included the Cap and the Helmet as standalone objects with even more multi-shells, giving you even more customisation options!

All the IEF Arms this month come with weapons integrated into the pose, but each is a separate element, just in case you want to remove and replace them. Each arm also features an optional ID patch, and one of the poses includes a removable carry strap.

Legs

The standalone "Digital Kitbash" guns feature a whole suite of multi-shell options! Try swapping bits between them, or use the bullpup grip to kitbash your own weapons compatible with this arm set! There is also a set of stock weapons that are supported to allow you to print a stowed weapon, should you need one.

Milestone Unlocks

We surpassed our 1100 patron milestone last month, which gives us a little more time to devote to bringing you extra parts! Kneeling Legs will be added to the main download link soon! (and will be included in the MMF archive next month, as usual). We've got a big Tank Bug to finalise and test print, but once that's complete we'll be adding it to the main download link too! Keep your eyes out for that post, next week!

If you'd like to have these renders yourself, for reference, they have been attached to this post for you to download!

Thanks for all your Support,

- Team Anvil

Comments

Will pistol grip arms for this set be added at some point? I've tried for the last few hours to learn how to add in guns from older sets to these arms to little success. its so much easier to glue the rifles into the PG arms.

TravisDoesStuff

Mostly to ensure a good pose. However, the arms are easily modified either digitally before printing, or with a pin-vice drill if the dished melee/pistol style arm is required

Out of curiosity. Why do these rifles/arms not use the standard joints? e.g. square peg rather than a rounder one

Geoff

Since discovering this I've used multi shell stuff customised way more

As an additional note. If you have the pro version of the Lychee slicer you can separate the shells right in the slicer and don't need to go to another app.
