2024-11-15 23:06:43 +0000 UTCHello! Tis I the resident Universe reporting for duty! Delighted you enjoyed Spring Snow, it's an excellent example of Chaostagon at their finest. Doubly so, because this is pretty much the same choreo they’d be performing on stage/concerts, if slightly more chaotic. And, it's also such a fun song. You were absolutely correct when you mentioned it giving off Encore vibes. From the concerts that I’ve seen ‘Spring Snow’ is their encore finale, and it’s genuinely really sweet because the song is filled with “I love you” and the fan chant ends with “Pentagon Saranghae” so the last thing they hear before the curtains drop is Universe shouting their love. Next! The title is a pun somewhat. While I’d never actually thought of the cherry blossom connection, which now that you’ve mentioned it makes it seem rather evident. In my defense however, it snowed around when this album came out (Spring 2019) so now it’s hard not think about the song in relation to that. While it’s definitely a fan-favorite song, it’s also a touch bittersweet as it is the RTK farewell song (Shine + Spring Snow = emotional devastation, lmao) and a common phrase Pentagon says is “it’ll definit snow in our spring again.” Moving on, to member specifics. Green jacket is Hui, yes! For all that he might appear put together, he’s in fact quite chaotic so him constantly producing confetti is very in character. The first piggyback ride was Wooseok and Jinho (aka Youngest and Oldest, tallest and shortest). The second one was Jinho and Yanan. It would have been really funny if they reversed it, but I’m genuinely unsure if Jinho can piggyback Wooseok, so they went for the second tallest member instead, lol. And yes, (@18:19) that’s Jinho, aka the one who went to the military during RTK. He’s Pentagon’s eldest and responsible for some of their highest notes. I’m not sure if you picked up on it, but during Dr. Bebe there was some insanely high vocalizing going on in the background. That was Jinho going off. Off topic, but fun fact, Hui mentioned that if he had Jinho for Basquiat (RTK Finale) he would have made the vocals even higher then what they performed. Thank you for your reaction, twas a lot of fun. Spring Snow really is a good vibes only song.
