For Chih En, I watched the performances multiple times to understand why exactly I wasn't understanding the hype about him or liking him so much as the other. Like his dance and vocals are okay and nice but I finally understood why he wasn't appealing to me and that's his poker face. I feel like he has a poker face while dancing and needs to give more expressions in later stages. His eyes feels dead to me and during performances, the trainees that give good expressions are always the ones I find appealing. Since Team Rhythm took him later in the show, I wanna see if they can bring out his personality and we get to see that on his face and performance.

2025-04-02 17:59:00 +0000 UTCI didn't know Jay Park was older than Changsub and then I heard him call Changsub by his name and was taken aback. Jay park really looks young for his age! Goddammit! Jay Park is a vibe! He was a fun host. I was bored in P7 coz the host was not fun and I couldn't sit through the announcements. Another host who was fun and I love him was Lee Seung gi in Peak Time and also Jay Park is there as a judge. And for the Love Shot group, I think they have the resumes of the trainees with their picture. I don't know how similar they looked in the resume picture and in real life due to makeup and all, so I felt that Beat team got confused between the faces and wanted to pick someone else and by mistake picked Jihun. They were shocked to see his face on the monitor coz I think they were saying someone else had a handsome face. I maybe wrong but their reaction made me feel that way that they mistakenly picked someone they didn't want to.

I was bit meh about the concept but it really grew on me and I'm glad its a smaller number of contestants, it really gives them more of a chance to showcase everyone. Thats one of my biggest gripes with the Mnet produce shows, theres SO MANY people! Even if they wanted to showcase everyone, which they dont, it would be impossible. Hoping the show stays good vibes throughout.

2024-11-28 19:20:24 +0000 UTCOkay finally got to finish watching and laughed so hard when the Siren group performed and you said "There's our group right there and chuck in JL" because that's exactly what I said when I watched it haha. Most of my Top picks went to Team Rhythm. There's a 10 year age difference though between their youngest Daisuke and their eldest Steven so will be interesting to see how that goes. The vibe of this show felt more relaxed than most survival shows so I liked that. Groups got a break, judges had friendly competition and Jay Park killed it as Emcee with his jokes and relaxed personality. I really hope they stick with this low drama vibe for the whole season. It makes it so much more pleasant to watch.

I think I'm gonna watch the show no matter what for ten but i hope the show wouldn't let us down in the future. I've watched how the show PDs talked about it on the press con and I kinda have a good faith in them. I feel UL emphasis more on cultivating rather than just judging. They intentionally make it in league format to motivate everyone including the directors to contribute to each others to grow. 1 of the PDs watches NBA and mentioned a motto that sticks to him: I can't. We can. He jokingly apologize to the directors for making them work harder than they would in another survival shows. They also went heavy on the audition to make it down to only 42 contestants because they wanna give enough screentime for them. I feel they'd keep the show benevolent but still exciting because of their format. Glad to have you contributing your amazing insights and bringing more interest for the show. A good one deserves our support 💛

There's also a few boys who have debuted before. Steven (my Aussie boy lol) was in Luminous. The more I see the more I want them all to debut lol. I'll have to finish watching when I get home from work (8am here haha) but I am looking forward to your reactions <3
