Such great points brought here and I am delighted that we were able to touch on Hiphop in this way! This is one major reason I even started the Jess Reacts side because I wanted to be someone who could talk about all the beautiful components of the cultures we see in street dance and even though we have a lot of unanswered questions regarding context here, I also know that the fact we got to touch on what we were able to is also a victory.

OMG I am so sorry for the delay in responding to you here! Thank you for contributing to the conversation and I am so thankful we are in the place with Stray Kids to be able to have these opportunities to touch on these topics! Means a lot you watched with the mindset you had!

I’ve seen some content creators react to WoW and the Intro for this HOP album, but you are the one who gave me some new information about hiphop. That its not just a style (dance/ music style), but its a culture that people live with (please, cmiiw), that there is a negative sentiment about it in America. Very insightful in regards how in approaching new things, it would be a good move to work/ learn from someone who practiced it in their life. Not saying that our skz boys didn’t do their due dilligence in digging more into hiphop before riding the wagon, they may understand it from someone else in different perspective, since Korean hiphop may have different history. I wonder whether they are aware of these information that you said in this video. Anyway, thank you for enlightened me with this knowledge regarding hiphop even tho its not an easy topic to begin with

I've been on vacation for the past few weeks and am finally catching up on some SKZ content with the comeback. I just wanted to say I appreciate you sharing this feedback and perspective. I looked up a c-walk because of this video and learned a bit about the context. Thank you for explaining that in depth. I agree that the choreography would benefit from someone from the culture adding input and perspective. I do feel there is enough of Stray Kids sound in WOW to separate it from old school hip hop, but I'm likely a little biased as a STAY. Finally, I know you mentioned the details about Bounce Back in relation to WOW, and I do find that sound very separate and raw in a different way. Han has certainly had some trials/tribulations and it feels super authenic in my opinion. The hip hop/rock combo sounds kind of like Beastie Boys (in the best way imo).

Samantha I appreciate this comment so much. I realized during this time of researching and conversing how important having a relationship with people while having this type of discussion is super important! I know for sure that there would be people who think the opposite of you in how it could come across, but knowing you took the time to get to know me and my journey through the group truly makes this very encouraging and appreciated.

I see where u are coming from and there is an element that they are not from America and korean hip-hop is inspired obviously from black culture and they dont have a lot of that in Korea or Korea media while chan and felix is from Australia I don't know anything about hip hop culture in Australia. But I completely understand and see your points as I am not black but Hispanic but I grew up around black communities and I can see that. That did make me think deeper about that.
