[UNIVERSE LEAGUE] EPISODE 4

[UNIVERSE LEAGUE] EPISODE 4

Completely agree. LOADS of pressure to "get it right" this time. Very proud of his growth through the season!

Actually Woongki was kicked out (along with Chiwoo) of TO1 for being not being "manly enough" which caused even more controversy toward the group I do think that the pressure he was under caused him to make ... interesting decisions during the training

ZyaZer (aka SakuZya)

I also am not ready....

I can't say anything, I enjoyed the whole episode. I'm not ready to cry on friday.

I wondered the same thing- if airtime might be dependent on whether someone was eliminated! That kind of sucks for anyone who voted for them in the second round because a lot of people are paying to be able to have more votes and any that go toward a player that is eliminated before they count are just wasted. I think we will see a bit of a shift with the public vote because I believe some PLUUS fans (JLs Ppop group) knew about the vote. But there will definitely be a bigger shift once the second round voting comes into play.

To be honest, I love Team Groove and hope they win, but I don't think the result of the vote is fair! I think on-site voting is bound to be a popular vote because there are many Koreans and many individual fans of the members! Of course, they will vote for their favorite players even in global voting, but on-site voting is worse! I'm sad that the Groove team's performance didn't come out... I enjoyed today! Thank you!

Okay! Thank y ok for the clarity on the global votes! So this means we really won’t be seeing a huge shift until after the S challenge I presume? I also wonder if they have been projecting certain members over others in the show because they knew who would be eliminated at this point so they didn’t want to cause too much outrage? Or maybe stir the pot subconsciously with the public🤷🏻‍♀️

Goodness I am soooo intrigued at how the next episode will unfold! Going to be SUPER interesting! And I agree so much to your points about branding… how you set it up can affect the expectations and that is exactly what happened. Love this perspective from you!

Yay, here we go haha. I don't think the full cam was the final performance. If you watch Rhythm's full cam Steven and Shuaibo don't look at each other after Shuaibo grabs Steven however in the show they definitely do look at each other. I loved this change to the choreo too. Good on Shuaibo for killing two birds with one stone by making the choreo work better for the performance and giving himself a spotlight. I think where Team Rhythm shines is that their chemistry and teamwork just comes through in every performance. They feel a lot more like a group enjoying each other and their time on stage than just presenting something they've rehearsed if that makes sense. Will be interesting to see what happens if Steve, JL, Juwon and Shuaibo get split up. Also Chih En's ending fairy made me laugh. My poor guy looks terrified lol I think they are going to have to shake things up next round. Beat could potentially lose almost their whole bench this round. Then what does the last Beat bench player do next round? A solo? lol Also the online votes being included are only the first round votes that occurred before the show even started airing so it's hard to know how many people outside of Korea were even aware of them back then. I know I only started voting in second round after seeing the first episode. So global votes are still unpredictable at this stage.

I read somewhere that Team Beats representation of water doesn't fit the song. This sounded like just a bite back to what Rhythm said about setting the heart of the audiences on fire. And they said that water beats fire so meaning to say, their team represents water. Subconciously, people will remember this as your representation. And it did make sense that even Changsub mentioned it. It was subconsciously affecting the people's view of you. Now going back to the song Ignition and Team Rhythm's performance, they truly represent the song itself, their team color, and their choreography matches the song itself. Team Beat on the other hand, their choreo is fire, their vocals were softer compared to Rhythm, but then... where's the water? And this is why branding is important. Just sharing it here as I find this analogy interesting. Now here's my take. Camera man is doing a lot of work I really appreciate that. To be honest, costume wise, Rhythm already wins. LOL! I'm sorry. Regarding Woongki, I would agree with you that part of what he did was projecting. All the things that Team Rhythm are doing is what we need to see on Team Beat. The system in place were very effective for Rhythm and even Chih En noticed the difference of how the system is. He was shocked that in 2 days, they already learned the whole song and the choreography even facial expressions. Team Beat needs a system and their directors were not doing something about it. Also regarding choreography, I'm glad you mentioned it, Shuaibo suggested to change some part of the choreo for improvement, Beat didn't do that. I'm not sure if Woongki was the leader or it was forced to him, but pressure is eating him alive.
