Beat should have won and thats the Hill I'll die on. If you do a upbeat performance to a sad Song or a dramatic performance to a light Song, no matter how good the performance it doesn't fit. And grooves bench performance wasn't even better if you disregard the theme.

I feel like either there's a silent rule put in place by the show's creators or an agreement made in between each team's director to not steal each team's most prominent member (at least up until this point in the game). Otherwise they would be foolish not to steal someone like JL or Woongki who are consistent stable performers who also bring in huge amount of votes to the team. But I think they intentionally didn't poach those key members to 1. not completely wipe out an entire team 2. not look like an a**hole stealing a team's only hope of staying in the running (cause that would piss viewers off and potentially lose the team votes) and 3. if a team were to pick all the strong members, that mean even their own good players might get overshadowed and pushed out. Like, if Groove took in Woongki, JL, and Juwon, then that means their own strong guys like Kyungho, Park Han, and Kenta may get pushed to the bench line and at risk for yellow cards.
Also, eliminations on this show is way more chill and quick than most other survival shows. They didn't stretch it out to an entire episode and make it all depressing at sad for an hour. Honestly it felt so strange, like we were way more focused on who got traded to what team that I forgot people actually got eliminated.
But I was so sad to see Juwon get traded because he's well loved by the Rhythm team and he gets along great with everyone and has meshed well with their performances/concepts. Plus he was their team's last Korean member (Steven is technically Korean too but grew up in Australia). BUT, I do think him going to Groove would help him as an individual in the long run. Juwon's strength is in dance and Rap but he's not confident in singing. Team Groove will definitely help him in the vocals and push him to work on that in order to survive within that team. But if given the chance, Rhythm should totally steal him back. Ok I'm done rambling lol

I understand that a lot people are disappointed by the gap of the live votes, but even if they liked a performance just slightly (even 0.0001%) better than the other they can only vote for one winner,
for example, i am in the live audience, would give the first group a score of 95.9% as to how i liked it, then I would give the next group 95.8%, that means regardless of how close i liked both performances, I still have to vote for the first one.
so imagine hundreds of people feeling this way, regardless of how they liked both performances they still need to vote for the one they liked better. and Jess explained it in their reactions for both full cam and full episodes as to how both teams can pull up the votes.
Also the online votes used for this was around november 11-17 , which is before the first episode when people had no idea who the other trainees where and were voting just based on anything. if anything i really can't see the sense of the delayed reflection of the votes. like why are my vote months prior to the episode reflecting on the current situation, so what can I now do to help that trainee in a critical spot?
i hope sbs fix their voting system moving forward or for their next show if it's too late for UL.

I know right! That was probably the hardest part of all because he was actually a super talented player that had become very popular after the show aired and people saw how good he was. It's one thing seeing players get eliminated because they need more work compared to other contestants but it's quite another to watch people get eliminated because no one knows who they are yet or what they are capable of.
You did so well not to cry. This is like my seventh time watching and I still bawled haha. I'll cry at anything though- happy or sad lol

I bet you they have had conversations off camera about the “no steals” and it does keep each team competitive if that makes sense. Because if rhythm and groove plucked literally all members with a shot of debuting based on fan bases, challenge competency, etc. from beat, then tit feels like we are just beating down a team that can’t ever win. Really felt for Woongki and hopeful for him to be encouraged during the show in ways he wasn’t able to in other survival shows. Also looking forward to Park Han getting higher votes from global as well 🔥

This was a FEAT that I didn’t cry…. I was saddened so much by this and I’m so sorry to the GLOBAL FANS who have invested time into their favorites only to learn they were eliminated … so discouraging!! I’m hoping there will be something that comes into play that will alleviate this in some way for future episodes because when I tell you my first pick got the least amount of screen time I was wilding over here 😂😂 bless it all

I cried rivers with Woongki. You know those circumstances when you feel like you kept on losing even though its not totally your fault and you can't do something about it? So after that, I hope he gets a small victory at some way and I'm happy that I was able to witness the spark in his eyes when he saw he got 41k+ of votes.
Now regarding the votes, had it not been so skewed on-site votes on Prison, Rhythm could have won and stole players.
Also, it sucks that the online voting counted on this was the first one when nobody knows who. Votes were made based on their visuals and We Ready videos. We could have saved Jiang Fan. I've been voting for him and they all go to waste because he got eliminated before they even counted my votes for 2nd Global voting.
Also, I am so heart broken that Juwon and JL were separated. I love these two kids so much. Their dynamics are great and they work together effectively.
I am also pissed that Park Han despite carrying Groove's vocals since the beginning did not go up from 6th place on the on-site votes. He is Korean and he is a main vocalist, I wonder what is their excuse for not voting him.
One thing I noticed, there might be an unspoken rule between the directors not to steal main players that's why they won't steal Woongki, JL or Park Han (if they got the chance)

And this is where the show falls down for me- the voting!! I could have told you who would win each round before the round even started because how good the performances are literally doesn't matter to the live audience. All these performances and the first round of online voting happened before the show even aired. The audience have all gone there with favourites and it's going to be the people they know already and then the Korean contestants. Rhythm Starting and both Groove teams benefit from this because even though Rhythm Starting has nearly all foreigners they have a lot of players with existing fan bases and Groove has both some fan bases and Korean players and Changsub is well loved in Korea. Team Beat literally only has Woongki and a lot of foreign unknowns so they will always do badly and Rhythm bench is also all unknown foreigners.
The fact that voting is based off 300 audience members who have a strong bias and haven't seen the show to get to know the contestants and the online votes all happened before the show is ridiculously unfair. The only people that benefit are those with an existing fan base. That's why you suddenly see a massive shift in votes in the second global ranking because players like Park Han and Sirin got recognised for their talent after the show aired but were unknown beforehand.
I found this whole episode so upsetting. The crying edit, the horrible disparity in points between Rhythm and Groove's performances when they should have been a super close match, Jiang Fan getting eliminated when he was super talented just because he had no fan base yet (I can guarantee he got a lot of votes in second round global voting) and Juwon getting traded away. Ugh this episode was heart breaking.
