I Wasn't Supposed To SHRINK 005

Katie continued struggling with all the material that use to be her dress, surrounding and enveloping her. Eventually, she felt like she was making progress. She couldn't tell, but she assumed she must have stopped shrinking, or it at least slowed, as she was able to push the material out of the way without it fighting back as it once was.

She could hear the loud music and loud bangs, from the large shoes and heels crashing onto the floor nearby as people walked and danced. She just hoped her clutch and bunched up dress on the ground would at least cause people to avoid stepping on her, or even better, look down. As this thought went through Katie's mind, she clawed more and more, trying to get out from under the material so she could try to get someone's attention. She could see flashing colorful lights, but she wasn't sure if it was through the sleeve or the top of the shirt, but she was confident she was small enough to fit through whatever opening was letting light through. She just had to get there.

Finally, the light grew brighter and the sound less muffled as she started to emerge from her dress. She was still tangled in it, but her head and arms were somewhat free, her arms still clinging onto the sleeves. Just then, she heard a song drop the bass, hard. She could feel the ground beneath her rumbling. She had never experienced an earthquake before, but she imagined this is what it would feel like. As that happened, she could see lights passing all around her, moving around. Red, Blue, Orange, bright, dark, blinking, from above onto the floor all around her. It was extremely disorienting as when one of the lights passed over or near here, it lit up everything in the vicinity with that color.

Pivoting her head around, she looked up at the massive objects around her. The tables, the chairs, the people. She had no idea how small she was but judging by the fact her entire body was laying on her clutch, she knew she had to be doll sized. In the distance behind her, she saw her heels, being nearly tripped over by a patron. "What the...?" she heard the woman call out as she recovered. "Who the fuck leaves their heels like this". Her friend, laughing, said "A drunk bitch". "I guess" the girl responded back, violently kicking the heels towards the bar top, probably to prevent others from doing what she did. Seeing her shoes, which looked MUCH bigger than herself, be kicked so effortlessly by the giant scared Katie. She prayed no one would react as that woman did if her clutch and dress were spotted, considering she was right on top of them...

As she was distracted, she heard a nearby clack, louder than everyone's other footsteps, in front of her. "Oh no, someone lost their... scarf... or something." a woman said. Katie immediately spun her head back around, realizing she was spotted, or rather, her stuff had been. She began yelling "HEY!", which was no use, and tossing her arms into the air, waving frantically, looking up at the giant looming over her. She attempted to stand up but the dress was still holding onto her, trapping her down, so she tried her best to get to her knees. With the blinking lights and her eyes trying to adjust, she couldn't quite see the person, but could see their figure and massive heels, legs extending into the sky. Part of her wanted to run at the sight of something so large, but she fought that feeling, knowing that would truly mean her demise, and the fact she hadn't fully untangled herself from the dress.

As she jumped up and down, the person said, "Is something moving down there?", as they loomed over Katie, continuing to look down at her. Katie's emotional fear started to turn into excitement. "Yes! Look down here! I'm a person! HELP!!!" she yelled out, not realizing that her voice would barely be auditable in a quiet room to the giant, let alone a loud bar with blaring dance music.

As the woman stood there, Katie's eyes began to adjust. She recognized her. Out of all the co-workers there, this was the person that would be on the bottom of the list of people she would want to find her. However, she was thankful it was someone she knew, rather than a stranger. She hoped her figure and her face could be seen by someone so large at that distance and would trigger something in their head that it was her, a real person, and not some weird rodent.

"What IS that?" Tessa said, keenly curious and drawing her body closer to the peculiar thing below.
