BARQ Next release coming this week

Hello everyone! Thank you all so much for all the support you've been given to BARQ. Thanks to your support and feedback we can finally present the brand new version of BARQ to the world.

What does this mean for the supporters?

Early Access

BARQ Next was a supporter exclusive for almost a year now. Now that the app will be available for the rest of the users, the supporter perks will fall back into the old way of doing things. This means that supporters will receive updates at least one week prior to all other users. The aim is to give at least two weeks exclusive access for releases, so you have all the time to claim usernames; set up your profile before others do, etc.

Usually a release consists of multiple builds before the release is good enough to get released to the general public. This can also mean that you sometimes get early access to features for a much longer period :)

Sneak peek of confirmed upcoming early access features:

Changing your header images of your profile
Customizing the layout/order of your profile
Claiming usernames (barq.app/@<username>)
Map view for profiles (viewing the users on a map instead of a grid)

Exclusive access to features

Some features will eventually only be available to supporters. This is currently already the case with the golden usernames in the app, but we plan to add some other exclusive perks like animated profile images and other customization perks.
