Chapter 40

Kanae was relieved to receive help from Thedia and Elvira. Even if he were to charm the demon army against Lady, there was no telling what else she had up her sleeve. The extra hands were a welcome addition.

However, as they began to make their move now that Kanae was freed from the pillory, he collapsed to the slightly moistened and sticky ground.

"Hurry up! We'll be seen if we stay out in the open for too long!" Elvira urgently whispered.

"Are you hurt? Did they do something to you?" Thedia asked, her worry a stark contrast to the elven mage.

"I think my hips and legs gave out from having a little too much fun." Kanae rubbed his butt which was slightly swollen and pulsing in soreness.

The amount of monsters and demons that had their way with him probably hit low triple digits. He was also pretty sure a couple of people from Orturic took advantage of his chained state to get a round in. Despite all that, and it was the only thing he was disappointed about, Kanae had gained not a single level. Even after that giant wolf monster fucked him. Being knotted felt so good.

Just thinking back on it was getting him wet. If these two hadn't come along, he might have been fine staying that way a little longer.

However, Arenade and Edina needed help. The city which Kanae had grown fond of was under demon control.

The three made their way to the adventurer's hall, moving between the shadows of the buildings and hiding from demon patrols. Since Kanae didn't have the same invisibility cloak— the only one their party had was in Edina's possession— Thedia and Elvira stayed visible to help guide him. The cover of night provided most of the protection from prying eyes.

Although the demons had captured Orturic, they left the city intact and allowed inhabitants to be mostly free. It looked like the place was being used as a resource hub. Along the streets, demons oversaw people loading lumber and ore into wagons. An older man, pushing a cart of ore, couldn't move any longer and stopped to catch his breath.

"Hey, get moving!" A flying imp poked his back with a small pitchfork.

Kanae was about to intervene until Thedia placed a hand on his shoulder.

"It isn't worth it. We should focus on the bigger prize," Thedia said.

Fighting the urge to do something, Kanae followed after the two, but not before charming a nearby unsuspecting demon hound to snatch the imp out of the air to be used like a chew toy.

"So what's been happening while I was… er, you know," Kanae asked as they waited for a patrolling group of imps to fly past.

"Turic always had a wealth of untapped resources," Elvira began. "Duke Kroenig doesn't take it for himself and leaves much of it for fresh adventurers to gather. That way, people can get started and compete on their own."

"It stands to reason that the demons' goal isn't only to stifle the birth of new adventurers, but to also drain the forests of resources for years to come," Thedia added.

"And what is a member of Renya's crew doing as a maid in the duke's service?" he questioned further.

"Captain Renya is a lot more connected than you think. However, both parties would be grateful if you kept this a secret from public knowledge." She smiled.

They were close to leaving the market square when Kanae noticed that the lights were on in his sex toy shop. The door was left open and silhouettes of demons against the drawn curtains could be seen inside.

"Wait, there's something I want to check!" Kanae said.

When they got close, the sound of squelching and joyful cheers filled their ears. Peering through the crack in the door, Kanae was appalled to see that many demons were availing themselves of the sex toys for sexual relief.

"Ahh, this one's great! It feels just like that whore outside!" one demon exclaimed, thrusting his hips into a pocket pussy.

"Let's go have a go at the real thing after this," another said.

Bound and gagged at the back corner of the store behind the counter were Takumi, Manabe, and Ichi. Ingrid was nowhere to be seen, but the goblin of the group was still struggling and throwing worried glances at the storage room.

"Hands off the merchandise!" Kanae bursted in and charmed the demons. Their hands went into the air, and sex toys wrapped around their dicks slipped to the ground.

"Mmm! Mmrphh!" His friends' muffled cries were filled with relief.

Thedia and Elvira untied them, but as soon as Takumi was released, he shot up and kicked the door to the storage room open. Inside, a horned demon had Ingrid pushed down on the bed, trying to have his way with her.

"What the—"

"Let her go!" Takumi headbutted the demon right in the gut, knocking him out cold from the surprise attack.

"Try to fuck me, will ya?" Ingrid kicked the unconscious demon in the groin so hard that Kanae felt it even though he didn't have balls anymore.

"Are you okay?" the goblin asked, moving her away from the demon.

"Just fine." She pushed past everyone and walked out of the storage room, then stood by the door. "Thanks…"

Only Kanae had seen that Ingrid was red up to her ears, which led him to wonder if there was something going on between her and Takumi. He was uncharacteristically worried about her after all.

Everyone returned to the main floor of the shop, where the demons were obediently sitting on their knees. Lying deflated and every tentacle limp was the roper they Kanae had charmed, likely slain by the demons when they raided the place. He was going to have to get a new one later.

"Thank god, for you guys. I thought we were goners," Manabe said.

"Is this the turning point? We're going to fight back the demons?" Ichi asked, rubbing his wrists which had signs of rope burn.

"If 'we' only includes the three of us who just got here, then yes. The rest of you need to stay here where it's safe," Kanae insisted.

"Can't ask me to go out there even if ya tried," Ingrid scoffed. "What are ya planning to do against all those demons?"

"Well… After getting raped by so many and finding out they were all low levels, I can probably charm them all at once. I don't want to risk doing that yet because it has a limited range, and I want to confirm Arenade and Edina's safety first," he explained.

The boys went red in the face and shifted uncomfortably on their feet.

"W-We saw you getting railed by the demons earlier. It looks like you were really enjoying it," Takumi said.

"With the giant beast monster, too. W-Was that the biggest you've taken? Bigger than mine?" Ichi asked while twiddling his thumbs.

"It… It was pretty big…" Kanae answered, face also heating up.

"What in the Supreme One's name are these things you call merchandise?" Elvira picked up the shapely slime half-body of Arenade, molded to have her exact busty proportions.

Before anyone could say anything, some commotion was causing a stampede outside and brought everyone to the window.

"They have found out you escaped." Thedia quietly shut the door.

Demons were checking every building and now on high alert. The group backed away as a horned demon, accompanied by two hounds, approached the shop.

"Open up in there!" He banged on the door.

"Back inside the storage room!" Kanae whispered.

As they quietly shuffled in, Kanae then compelled the newly charmed demons to answer the door.

"What's going on?" An imp opened the door.

"The human we chained up in the square has escaped. You seen her? Actually, the hells are you guys doing in here to begin with?"

"Uhh… we sampling the goods."

"Checking for the escapee."

"Hanging around."

Kanae facepalmed from the mix of answers. Unless he verbally ordered them to say something specific, those that were charmed could say pretty much whatever they wanted. Fortunately, the demon checking in sounded like a fed up superviser not wanting to deal with incapable subordinates.

"Whatever. Just keep an eye out for that human slut. I wanted to get a go at her, but Lady had some of us piling shit all day," the demon said before leaving.

When the door shut, the others emerged from the back.

"There's a lot more demons out now. How are we going to get to the adventurer's hall?" Elvira asked.

"Same way I just fooled the other demon." Kanae pointed at the charmed ones.

After throwing on a cloak lying around the shop, Kanae stepped out with Thedia and Elvira. He had them purposefully surrounded by the demons to appear as though being taken captive. Doing so allowed them to reach the hall without drawing any suspicions.

Inside, demons were drinking themselves into a stupor. About a third of the adventurers were being held prisoners here to be toyed with. A couple of women, the receptionists being among them, were lying on the tables with a demon's dick in each hole. Men weren't spared either. Some were forced to serve as seats, and others a collar around their necks to be paraded naked around by female demons.

A poor elven man was tied to the wooden post with a wooden board, painted with a red target, attached to his body. Several demons were flinging utensils at him and intentionally missing.

"Hey… hic!" Walking up to the group was a drunk demon that looked like the spitting image of an ugly bastard. "You look like that girl I fucked in the square earlier."

"You must be mistaken. We just captured these three skulking around outside." A demon came between them, compelled by Kanae to speak in his defense.

"Well, then. Bring 'em to the center and let's have some—"

"No. Lady wants us to bring them to her," he said.

"Hmm… If that's true, then why did you bring them here where she ain't?" The big demon raised a brow. His suspicions began to draw other demons

Thedia and Elvira threw Kanae a concerned look.

"Alright, screw it," Kanae muttered, then casted a charm on an imp who was holding a wine bottle.

"BAR FIGHT!" The charmed imp smashed the glass over another demon.

All at once, chaos broke out. Kanae was only able to charm half the room, but in the demons' drunkenness, they started fighting each other in the heat of the moment. He even commanded the demons by his side to jump the bigger one in front of them. His limit, as he was only just now discovering, was twenty max, including Sara who was already charmed.

One by one, Kanae, Thedia, and Elvira, released the adventurers and helped them to their feet while the demons were distracted. Once they were defeated, he didn't need to keep them charmed any longer. It would just be a waste otherwise.

"Nngh… Kanae? Are you here to have sex with me next?" Sara, who was lying on a table and caked in dried cum, mumbled as Kanae lifted her head.

"Maybe later… Have you seen the other adventurers? Where are they being held?" Kanae asked.

"I think… I overheard demons talking about using them to bait Duke Kroenig out," she explained.

"And it might work," Elvira growled. "The duke cares a lot about adventurers. If we don't hurry, the demons might actually force him out of the manor."

"Your two friends might be among them. We should go now before it's too late," Thedia insisted, going for the door.

Now that the adventurers were up and geared, they easily overwhelmed the demons who had been battered from their own infighting.

"Dunno why they started fighting each other, but it worked out for us!" Someone guffawed.

"Leave the hall and city to us. We'll handle it from here," a beastman adventurer said.

"If-If I survive this battle, will you have sex with me, Kanae?" some human boy asked.

"Uhh… Let's save that sort of talk for later!" Kanae exclaimed.

However, as they exited the hall, a large number of demons and the giant wolf-like demon were waiting for them outside.

Elvira sent them into disarray, slinging fireballs into their ranks. Kanae charmed the giant hound to wreak havoc amongst them and knocked other demons around like ragdolls.

Once the enemies were defeated and groaning in pain, the giant wolf sidled over to Kanae and licked his face, the hot tongue stirring fresh memories from their mating earlier and bringing him pleasure.

"Hehe… Aww, you're so cute. Did you miss me?" Kanae cooed. He was able to check the monster's stats sheet this time without needing to defeat it.

Or maybe he did defeat it.

Agile and strong, these demonic hounds can outrun most horses. Although they have a terrifying visage, they are mostly passive creatures used as burden beasts.

"If you're done flirting with a demon, we've got to go!" Elvira gestured to more demons coming down the road.

"I found a ride!" Kanae said, mounting the crimson devil mutt on its back. He helped the others up and ordered the demon to take off running, the speed at which they went leaving the demons in the dust.

They were fast approaching Duke Kroenig's manor. In the courtyard, a small army of demons and Lady were waiting in front of an enormous barrier that kept them from getting any closer. Arenade and Edina, alongside several other adventurers, were tied up, faces in the dirt, and with one big magic circle surrounding them all.

The duke was just exiting his manor when they arrived.

"Duke Kroenig, stay back!" Kanae shouted.

Lady whipped around. "What? How?"

"Looks like I outlasted your army." He grinned triumphantly.

"You're even controlling my devil mutt. What are you? Some succubus?" The hell hound beast woman bared her fangs.

"Er— uh… N-Nope! Just… a mind control spell!"

The two members of his party were relieved to see him. Whatever that magic circle around them couldn't be good. Lady was trying to get the duke to surrender by threatening them after all.

"You wait right there," Lady said. "Any closer and every single one of these budding little adventurers are sent straight to Charron."

"Tch. So that's a teleportation circle." Elvira cursed under her breath.

One wrong move, and Kanae might never see his friends again. There has to be some way…

Lady was strong and arrogant. Maybe that could be used against her.

"You had me beat last time, but it won't happen again. I demand a rematch!" Kanae declared.

The demon lieutenant erupted into laughter.

"If you wanna get beat a second time, then I'm more than happy to oblige!" she exclaimed.

"Are you sure about this?" Thedia asked.

"No… But I want you guys to slip invis while I'm in battle and wait for my signal," Kanae whispered.

"What's the signal?" Elvira raised a brow.

"You'll see. It'll be just like what happened at the adventurer's hall." He cast aside his hesitation to face the demon lieutenant.

Those that were in the way cleared the space between them. Her demons cheered and whooped, excited to see another fight. Kanae and Lady faced each other down, but only one of them was showing any confidence. Now, more than ever, he wished he had a fighting class.

"I'll grind you to the floor and present you to the demon lord myself!" Lady leapt into the air to pounce.

Kanae dove out of the way and cracked his whip at her. The dragonscale tip nicked her cheek and didn't so much as make her flinch.

"Ha! It tickles at best!" She cackled.

When Kanae threw out his whip a second time, Lady caught it and yanked him up to her just like before. She lifted him by the throat, flashing a victorious smirk.

"Color me surprised," the beastman woman began. "Still up and moving even after being fucked by most of my army. Maybe you're best served to higher level demons and monsters instead."

"Tempting… but I prefer having sex on my own terms." He returned the grin.

Confused, Lady peered into Kanae's eyes. Whatever she saw made her realize that a grave mistake had been made.

"You're a…" Lady gasped and glanced over her shoulder to see what was going on.

Since Kanae was too far from the demons to charm them, he instead whispered Turn Horny which could be used from a distance, targeted at the demons in the very back who were guarding the magic circle. While invisible, Thedia and Elvira had snuck behind to help the adventurers out of it.

"Now it's your turn to show me your O-face," Kanae said, then casted the spell at her. "Turn Horny!"

"Nngh! As if… that's enough to…" Lady shuddered all over and squeezed her legs shut, but it wasn't enough to put her out of commission.

Kanae compelled the devil mutt to charge in, forcing Lady to toss him aside and throw both hands out to stop the giant beast in its tracks. Living vines emerged to grab hold of her by the waist, and with her strength partially sapped from being too stimulated, she was dragged into the teleportation circle just as it activated.

"It's not over! I'll get you for this—" The rest of Lady's sentence was cut off as she and the hound that forced her onto the circle vanished.

The remaining demons stared on in shock with their mouths agape.

"This is the part where you run away," Kanae suggested as an army of skeletons, summoned by Edina, manifested to face them.

And run away screaming they did.

Kanae was only able to breathe once before being tackled by both Arenade and Edina.

"Kanae, you did!" Edina buried her face between his chest.

"Thank the gods that worked… Last thing I wanted was to see Charron again so soon." Arenade sighed.

"Glad to see you two safe, too." Kanae smiled, then took a sidelong glance where the summoning circle was before it disappeared. "It's too bad I lost a hunk of a devil mutt in order to win."

"Oh, by the Supreme One's hairy… You're a bigger slut than anyone gives you credit for." The priest socked him in the arm.
