Poll: Name Altey's Present

Once she gives it a name, the golem will be able to change to the shape that fits (like a bird, etc) and will develop its own personality.
You choose the name(s) you like the best. Feel free to pick more than one.
I wrote some ideas for them, and nicknames like "this" to show some options.
Gender of the orb can change. I wrote that it had a male default voice, but I can easily flip it to female in Ch 15.
This poll will unofficially close in 2-3 days, on Friday or Saturday.

Just like learning magic early and the powers that she's been exposed too. If she doesn't get an over powered path from the start I'll be suprised.

2023-05-11 11:24:25 +0000 UTCI think a mix between compendium and the floating rune/word effect from runekeeper. I feel like a more knowledge based companion fits with her character. He/she takes the form of a book most of the time for a teaching aid, but has another more companionable form. It would be cool if it was a local fauna like an baby ice drake or something tied to the sylphs.

I think a beautiful but somewhat sneaky with fast reaction golem... because Altey's learning to sneak, to hunt, to blend with snow... and getting stronger, she needs a guiding protector that will be able to blend with her, keep up with her, sometimes be a companion to her. I"d go with "Eclipse," a moon aspect orb that can shine bright when she needs it, and slip into shadow to help her cloak when she needs that too. Maybe the small moon aspect would let her communicate with family as well? or Maybe winter Eclipse...

2023-05-11 10:45:22 +0000 UTCQuill or Aurora can't quite make up my mind.. Quill: Because I totally came with that one without any help from the author at all.. Aurora: wouldn't it be funny if it kept getting "distracted" seeming completely harmless and that seems to have concentration issues and gives frequent accidentally great suggestions, then senses danger and it flips into Super Saiyan orb. Then new people that meet Altey wonder why everyone that knows her is respectful of a color changing orb.
