Super Quick Update
Added 2017-07-28 05:57:05 +0000 UTCI'm technically done with the coding for the first half of the beach date...but I'm still whacking bugs and fixing lots of broken bits. Partly, this is on account of me accidentally coding myself into a corner and fixing it with a brute force approach that would appall every coding teacher I've ever had -_-. It's nothing that will effect the game's performance, though, and it was the only quick fix I could think of. I might try to clean it up eventually.
Anyway, the whole thing is proving even more complicated than I thought. Not hard, so much as so interlinked that I'm REALLY hating the limited object orientation that the ren'py engine has. I think I can whack all the bugs with another hour or so, and the rest of the code is easy peasy straight forward stuff that won't take me more than an hour or two, tops. So, still should be done on time, but I am VERY glad I gave myself the extra days.
