Serena Attempt 2
Added 2018-01-30 13:07:03 +0000 UTCSo, this is the second attempt at the Serena character. This one fits the mental picture I have of her much better...but I didn't clean up the image thing time due to a couple of basic errors in the drawing.
1) The shoulder proportions are screwed up. Normally, with female characters, the hips should be wider than the shoulders rather than the other way around.
2) I'm never ever...ever drawing that armor again -_-. Not the basic shape, but the little details decorating it. I think I'd shoot myself if I had to draw that frequently.
Net result? I'm calling this a solid concept piece of the character, so that I can move onto another one, but the final version would be tweaked to fix a few issues...and get some different clothes -_-.
On Another Note Entirely
Short story reward for this month is turning into a monster O.O. As I mentioned before, it was decided to do a story based off one of the games that didn't make the Public Poll's cut, specifically the Transformation Estate game. Jaylee and I are effectively Co-Writing this one, and it's hit 4500 words just in the setup for the overall story.
Thankfully, we've finished that setup and are moving onto the main thrust of the story. However, we've already become aware that it's going to be closer to 10,000 words (double the normal length) and even then it's only going to scratch the surface. As such, there's likely to ultimately be a second story expanding on the idea.
As it is, we're currently managing to write fast enough that there's still a VERY good chance that we'll finish before the end of tomorrow. The editing pass is a bit more iffy, but we'll do our best. And if it's late, it won't be by more than a day or two....
