The doctor jumping through the glass is... just dumb. Most doors are made of tempered glass so when they shatter it's sorta beaded and less sharp, safety glass. The door he jumped through did just that. If however the glass was not safety glass, it would have shattered into triangular sharp edges and cut him up. He should have heel kicked the bottom corner closest to the hinge to shatter the glass with a much much lower risk of harm to himself.

I thought it was a real shame they brought Craig back but not Sophie - I really liked her too (much more than him). They may as well have cut her two scenes at the start and the end. The episode really is not very good - thank god for that very end scene, which redeemed it quite a lot, with a brilliant performance from Alex Kingston as always.

Weren't the Cybermen only in this episode because Cybermen and Daleks are the only 2 species that the BBC is contractually obliged to use like once every season or 2, or they will lose their usage rights on those 2 species, as those are the only recurring species that BBC itself doesn't own, but belong to their respective creators?

Yeah, it’s an okay episode. The cybermen are kinda wasted. I must have missed it but I thought this episode had a billboard with Amy as the model, indicating her current career.

Couldn't tell if you followed by the end but regarding your question about how River in the space suit ended up being a child, that's chronologically earlier. The order of events is: Melody is born -> Melody is stolen by the Silence -> the Silence put her in the suit and start prepping to use her as a weapon -> Melody escapes the suit during the confrontation at the orphanage -> Melody wanders alone for miles until eventually she dies and regenerates -> Mels travels to the UK, finds Amy and grows up with her -> Mels gets shot, becomes River -> River gets recaptured by the Silence and put in the space suit a second time as an adult

I like this episode, mainly because I love the dynamic between the Doctor and Craig.
