UNEDITED EXCLUSIVE: Doctor Who Season 11 Episode 10 REACTION!

I don't hate this finale as much as most do, but I do hate it AS a finale. It's an OK NORMAL episode - not a finale. I'm looking forward to seeing what you think of Season 12 though, because there are vast improvements in my opinion, all the way through.

The 1st episode of series 11 and the the New Years special are the best IMHO. That felt like a better finale.

He's been involved in some other stuff that I have really liked. Broadchurch and Law and Order UK. I'm just disappointed for Jodie, but she's done a fine job with what she's been given so far.

I think your summation on the whole is how I feel about this series as a whole. I really didn't dislike all of the series on a second watch. But like you indicated it's not a great sign when you aren't a fan of the show runners episodes. 🙄 But then I wasn't a big fan of most of the other episodes he'd written in the past either.

Weakest season and weakest season finale, imo. Was never a fan of Chibnalls previous Who episodes during Moffats era. The pacing and character development seems off to me, too much focus on the companions when i think we needed more of 13th Doctor to shine a bit more. Chibnall also got rid of the Christmas special but relented with a new years special instead, which is a shame as it became a Christmas staple to watch a new Who episode on Christmas Day in the UK. The only reason we got Capaldis last episode with Twice Upon a Time was because Moffat heard Chibnall didnt want to do X Mas specials anymore, so he quickly wrote it himself. Personally i think it gets better from here, the new years special and the first two episodes of current series were actually a bit different, so i think he's taking on board some criticism . Also the new villains introduced were very forgettable

Yeah, really not a great season finale. I am a person who is very protective of season 11, mostly because I love Jodie's Doctor so much, and so far this is all we have of her. Maybe in the future I'll look back and "admit" that this isn't the best. The season was designed to be a sort of jumping on point, and very much a monster of the week type of thing, and in that regard I think it does very well, however for us who have watched all of it(nu-who or older), it's very jarring, and I totally get the disconnect a lot of people have, but it does make me upset when people are just hating on it. Also, another thing I haven't seen anyone mention, but that I suddenly realized a while ago is that every previous companion(in nu-who at least) has kind of been a very important part of the plot, THEY often have been the story, in addition to personal character development(which in Yaz' case we don't get very much of at all and I hate that), while these haven't, they are just along for the ride(which is fine for a season like this I guess, but jarring). I will say though, I have very high hopes for the future after watching the new season. (Maybe in hindsight this is all brilliant, who knows.) Let's just say I was not disappointed. And lastly, this isn't really important or relevant at all, but Jodie is just so beautiful❤️

I kinda thought they were going to go a different direction balancers I was picturing something was going to go wrong with the doctors and would start losing her memories or something. Like a lot of things this season they kinda built something up to have it fall flat or just misuse it. Though the moment between the doctor and Graham gotta be one of her best moments of the season. She doesnt seem to be able to do shock or surprise but that moment was dead on

As much as I thought season 11 was I am just finishing up the 5th doctors episodes and oh man season 11 is looking pretty damn good in my eyes now lol. Its not the first time they have tried something new I guess. And now onto when the writers thought the show was a joke I guess so they dressed the doctor like a clown

Skipped to the end. Really don't like this episode. It takes all the issues with series 11 and pours them into one episode.

One of the saddest things about S11 is that Chris Chibnall said he wanted each episode to be its own story so that anyone can tune into the show every week and wanted to make it a good place for viewers to start watching it. And unfortunately he applied that logic to the finale and it kind of works as another newer villain returning to the show but doesn't work as a finale. They should have saved this for the middle of S12 tbh

Well, it's certainly *a finale*! I'm just kinda sad we had the 'planet that meddles with your mind' concept wasted on an episode where it's never used.. Hey ho! Special/S12, here we come!
