I'll check it out! I didn't get the tattoo as a love for Watchmen per se but instead because I love the idea that that quote represents so much. The idea that nothing ever ends is one of those dualistic concepts, kind of like the unbearable lightness of being. I also love the idea of thinking about how there is no endpoint of anything really, everything always spins out into something else and everything we are and see around us are a product of things that came before but are also long gone. It's a reminder to me that it's the journey that's more important than any accomplishment itself and to remember that we don't exist outside that context either

Personally I've only read it once and while I admire it's structure I don't love it nearly as much as you do. My favorite Alan Moore work is his Swamp Thing run. Actually...if you like Watchmen that much you should definitely read Kieron Gillen's "Peter Cannon: Thunderbolt." It's basically one big critique/refutation of Watchmen using the character that was Moore's original inspiration for Ozymandias.
