I realize that for channel and Patreon growth, it's best to stick to what's most popular on YouTube in terms of views. At the same time, I do know that I have a personal preference when it comes to shows (aka focus on characters and storytelling rather than action), and I fear that most of the popular shonen shows wouldn't really hold my interest as much. I do want to enjoy what I'm doing as well. Obviously, the reality is you can't always get it both ways. But I'm working on some changes for the Patreon and I'm planning for the future better to hopefully find the best middle way!

2023-01-11 20:09:14 +0000 UTCRobin, I think you should be the one to decide what kind of content to watch, so it will be a more enjoyable experience for you, but if your current goal is to grow the patreon community I think what Chezzy says is a good option, although I would recommend that before starting a series as long as those, you continue with short series, especially to test the variety of genres and themes that anime has to offer and when you think you've done it you could start with these long series like Naruto or others. But these are just tips, in the end whatever you decide will be fine, what I would like most is that you enjoy what you do.

Anime fans stick to a perticular reactors for a certain show, when the reactor finishes these shows they leave. Remember thats exactly what happened your aot viewers. Many of them left when you finished S4. You need to react to big shows like HxH, Naruto, one piece, bleach etc etc because they have massive fandoms and they will increase your patreon members a lot and probably will stay with you until you finish their favs show. Those shows are very long so they will stick with you for long time. I feel like your "story driven" shows request makes the suggestion choices limited. Story driven shows don't have that big fandoms as those shonen shows. In my opinion you need a big series like HxH(149 ep), Naruto(400 canon episodes), bleach(300 episodes), one piece (1000+ episodes).
