2023-03-23 16:25:26 +0000 UTCI think in Leaf's journey searching for Thorfin he founds this kid who had the same name, and same age and probably felt especially bad for. He probably paid for the kid's freedom even though he know it wasn't the Thorfin he's looking for, and adopted him as a son. The new Thorfin told Leaf "This is probably just like what happened with me" implying that Leaf would be wasting his time trying to find this Thorfin that Kettle has, and that it would be just another wrong Thorfin just like what happened with him. I don't think he said that because he didn't want Leaf to find him, but instead wanting Leaf to rest and stop his endless search to a person that probably doesn't exist anymore.
