This is definitely not the last we've seen of Gardar, even if he may be out of the picture for a while. I love how Einar is fully committing to making sure Arnheid gets what she wishes for, even if it wasn't until this episode that her goals finally became clear.

I'm also currently in contact with the rental company because apparently they don't really want the apartments to be used as offices (if this can even be considered that), so for all I know I may just be headed back home soon enough but let's hope this works out!
