You may know this. In this reaction you were wondering about the spear Ruijerd currently has. The Superd are born with a tail and when they fully mature their tail falls off in the shape of a spear. That's why they consider it their soul. That's also why it was so taboo for them to accept Laplace's new spears. Ruijerd accepted the new spear and succumbed to it and his son died while breaking the spear cursing his father(which freed him). Now Ruijerd uses his son's spear(tail/soul) since it's the last part of him he can cherish. It also reminds him of everything he needs to make up for.

The world building in this show is AMAZING! And the funny thing is, Rudeus and Roxy are of the same age if we add Rudeus age from his previous life. They're both 44 but both of them look like children.

I'm about 5 episodes further in (I binge in sessions of about six episodes for each show now), and yeah I actually did look at the map at one point to see where we're at and figure out how what direction we're traveling! So you'll see me be aware of it soon!

Mushoku Tensei is one of the series where it comes out at the end and it's just because it can make some spoilers, so maybe it's a good option not to read it until it comes out in the episode itself, but it's just a recommendation haha. Which episode are you in by the way? from a certain point on I think it's good to follow the story with the map to get a better location, but don't look it up on your own, some versions may contain spoilers. Great reaction.
